Hey!😊 It’s an algorithm where four paths spawn their own new segments of the level. Think of them as pieces of an endless corridor. The segments are separated in three types: straight, left, and right. I’ve made it so there can never be two lefts or two rights in a roll. If there is a left, there must be a right or straight before the next left. This way, the four corridors never intersect-they grow in different directions. I’d have to make the algorithm more complicated if we wanted to have intersections, which isn’t a problem, but would take more time, and the main focus in this vid wasn’t the procedural generation. I will talk more about it in a future video.
