This song with lan xichen never fails to amaze me at how beautifully it fits his tragedy, honestely i wished the secundary characters had a more hopefull ending... Most of their wounds and sorrow never was noticed by others, noticing this makes me get very emotional :(

Everyone else has said it but this song is so perfect for Lan Xichen, especially that refrain repeating "I don't wanna fight" in the bridge, Lan Xichen is the ultimate conflict avoidant, and it's heartbreaking! I admit I can be hard on Lan Xichen, but this edit made me sorry for him. 💕

Lan Xichen is one of my favourite characters, and his relationship with Jin Guangyao is both interesting and devastating. I remember seeing the animatic with this song and thinking that wow, it was perfect for him as a character and to portray the effect of the story's conclusion on him - and in your amv you went beyond! Love how you show their WHOLE relationship 😭😭😭 it's so well done! Thank you!

Man I love seeing this edit again with this song for Lan Xichen! It just fits his journey throughout MDZS as he found out that he was betrayed! He lost everyone in the end and just grieving all of their losses! Such a tragic character! You captured him wonderfully here!😭😭💙

Ow. It’s. Ow. It’s so good. So beautiful, so sorrowful. Sleeping at Last has some of the most beautiful music that sometimes feels like it was just made for MDZS/MXTX novels. This is one of them and you captured it so well. Everything from the flashbacks to the timing of the final confrontations, the overarching blue tones, the lyrics… a masterpiece of pain.
