Whatever happened to the round dry jig? It looked like a great idea. Any follow up in an area with more gold?

Hi Jim. The original vibratory dry jig has morphed into the Sweep Jig. You really should watch the SJ video at Bonanza Bar. The SJ is superior to the vibratory on micron gold, and also works well without water. I have a patent application for the SJ filed, so it's patent pending. I'm still thinking of a vibratory jig, but have too many things going on to get to it for a while. The vibratory concept, in a sluice form, was proven by Karl Von Mueller back in the '60's and 70's, but my idea of a flexible diaphragm, or bottom, is new, and makes a big difference in efficiency. Also, round is a superior form to a sluice, as the material moves slower, and slower as it works it's way towards the perimeter.

    Hi Jim
Just found your channel. I like your ideers. Been thinking of something in the same area like vibrating tables or boxes. Like your small jig box. What is going on since you are not uploading more vids. Hope everything is ok and that you keep comming up with new things

Thanks, Svar. I mostly only post my videos during the winter. I'm too busy with chores and prospecting to work on equipment during the good weather months. The vibrating sluices work well for gold, but have been a big disappointment for gems, so far.

That tungsten powder you have if you waigh it before and after you do a test run it would give a much better picture of how good it is to recover gold.

The vibratory jig is now obsolete. The Sweep Jig is now for sale. Video is on this channel.

@@jimnelson7740 what's the price for the sweep jig ,?

@@cloydlondon3966 For the aluminum-framed model I charge $650+shipping. I have 3 of the Hi-density pipe-bodied ready to ship, and they are $500. I won't be building any of the aluminum-framed models until January, probably. The wife wants the house "refreshed" this winter, so that's going to take some time...LOL
