Kpop fans often dismiss them because of their sound (rock/metal), ignoring the vocals and everything. I'm telling you, this is not even their heaviest song lol
They got their 3rd and 4th win with this song this week. They've been in the industry since 2017 (technically 2014 because 5 of the 7 redebuted). but have been super underappreciated for their rock fusion sound. Now they're credited as the face of rock in kpop. You should listen to their show champion encore when they sang live, the blue haired girl, Siyeon, their main vocalist, sounds just as powerful live. Yoohyeon, short haired girl, is their lead vocalist and she might as well be the other main. Also they have one of the most memorable rappers in their group Dami. And you might wanna check out Shadow (regular version) by Dami and Siyeon. And their 3rd fan song Reason.
J-Rock is a definite influence on the music DC puts out. Their CEO was a huge fan of Japanese rock music and actually spent a lot of time there, traveling between Japan and Korea. He got his start by opening a music shop in Korea where he would sell Japanese CDs and music magazines which evolved into booking and organizing shows for Japanese artists in Korea.
The song you heard could have been "Reason", give it a listen! "Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable! My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. There are still many things I don't know. For example, why are all three titles in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...) The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!
Welcome to the world of Dreamcatcher's fandom called InSomnia for you, bro. Greetings from InSomnia of Indonesia branch😁 FYI, the correct sequences from their mv are like this : A. NIGHTMARE ARC 1. I really hope you'll reacting their videos more. And one thing I can guarantee to you : All of their mv are TOTALLY AMAZING AND ROCK AS HELL!😎🤟
Look like you're a fan of Ateez. Btw, Ateez & Dreamcatcher actually share the same music producer Edenary since 2022. But half of Edenary; Leez & Ollounder already with Dreamcatcher since 2017 as Superbomb.
Welcome to the Dreamworld! You regret stanning them. They’re powerful singers, rappers, dancers, and their discography is very versatile while still having rock as their main sound. Their music videos are insane too. They’re just a complete package.
Welcome to Dreamworld! Thank you for your reaction! 💗☺️ Dreamcatcher (DC/Deukae) is an unique 7 member girl group. They're a K-pop group known to incorporate pop & other genres and blending with rock/metal/synth instrumentals within *ALL* their *TITLE TRACKS*. Thus creating an unique signature blend of genre known only to Dreamcatcher. They're also known as the Concept Queens and having Powerful live performances, usually with dark/horror/creepy concept themes MVs. Their title tracks MVs have always been story based, connecting one song to another. **This is only for their TITLE TRACKS.** They've had concerts and live performances with live bands, which, to me, has the best versions, which many InSomnias can agree that. On a flipside, their B-SIDES hold a *HUGE* variety of genres and experimental fusion creativity. It's like a different world of Dreamcatcher. Ballads, EDM, jazz, funk, reggae, hard metal/rock, just to name some. Their B-side tracks is where they flex their vocals & versatility which seems infinite, as they continue to surprise us everytime they comeback with new songs. The members also showed their creativity by taking part and getting credited for the composing, writing, choreographies for some of their songs too. They have also done numerous vocal/dance covers, adding their own twist to the songs, making it their own. And all 7 of them wrote, composed and produced their own solo songs & included them in the Apocalypse:Save Us full Album. *COMPANY* : Dreamcatcher Company (DCC) (Formerly known as Happyface Entertainment) *DEBUT* : January 13, 2017 *FANDOM NAME* : InSomnia {In Dreams(Latin)} -Formed in 2018, here's a short DC video, officially introducing the fandom name: th-cam.com/video/2KXFvi6r3EY/w-d-xo.html *MEMBERS* : JiU ('94) (Vocalist, Lead dancer) SuA ('94) (Main dancer, Vocalist, Rapper) Siyeon ('95) (Main Vocalist) Handong ('96) (Vocalist) Yoohyeon ('97) (Lead Vocalist) Dami ('97) (Main Rapper, Lead dancer, Vocalist) Gahyeon ('99) (Vocalist, Lead Rapper) *MAIN COMPOSERS* : Ollounder, Leez, Edenary Team *MAIN CHOREOGRAPHER* : Hwang Sooyeon (Participated in Season 1 Produce 101) *No. of Albums/EPs/Singles* : 16 (Kor) 6 (Jap) (I think) TH-cam Channel : th-cam.com/users/Dreamcatcherofficial th-cam.com/users/happyfaceent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are currently 3 storylines: Note* Storylines are for their title tracks only: *NIGHTMARE* Series - DC are cursed by a spider who was killed by one of them & became 7 Nightmares personifications, after which they try to escape (knowing the Dreamcatcher lore as a start would be good) *DYSTOPIA* Trilogy - About social/online bullying/toxicity...DC are guardian spirits of The Tree of Language who were awoken by the world's social/online toxicity, by which they retaliate and seek to achieve Utopia. *Apocalypse* Trilogy - The end of times with Chaos & Carnage in the Dusk. I love how you ascended during the first chorus, lol. Dreamcatcher's title tracks always incorporate rock and metal influences. Sometimes it permeates the entire song, other times is only during the chorus, and sometimes it's hidden further in the back under layers of instruments. Their earlier releases drew a lot of inspiration from J-Rock which is where the anime sound comes from and Bonvoyage was a return to that classic Dreamcatcher sound with some edm/electronic elements from their newer releases thrown in for good measure. Their b-sides though are mostly non-rock, though there are some really good Rock b-sides, spanning multiple genres and sub-genres including EDM, R&B, Trace, Trap, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Pop, and much more. They also have an anime opening for the King's Raid anime called Eclipse. That emotional response is something that is pretty common with DC songs. Most of the times it's hype songs or empowerment songs but whenever they do something that has a sentimental vibe it really pulls on the heartstrings. They're the only group I've found that can hype you up and make you emotional at the same time. As others have said, they share producers with Ateez so you'll find some commonalities there, like non-stop bangers. Enjoy the journey, it's a wild one.
Welcome to the Dreamworld!! They are extremely talented artists and genuinely good human beings! My fellow InSomnia will already have given you helpful info in other comments but I always try to drop a comment for the algorithm on new reactors' vids. Thanks for checking them out!!!
Nice reaction, try more of the dreamcatcher, I know there are some of their title track that you hasn't react yet.. but try their B-side also, dreamcatcher is not just known for their rock influence, but also their mix genre especially on their b-side.. please react to Mayday and Silent Night if you hasn't listen to it yet, both are great song but not many reactor has reacted to that songs so.... good reaction btw
Nice reaction. All the songs and albums by Dreamcatcher are masterpieces of masterpieces ! Dreamcatcher's live performances (with showcases) are untouchable ! 👍 You must check them. You will be shocked. 😉 Thanks.
Two quick comments: They share producers with Ateez... Also I highly recommend to go the unorthodox way and react to the entire EP (with color coded), only 15 min, yet it has two B-Sides with similar quality...
Don't worry about the stereotype bruh coz Anime vibe is like their middle name. 🤌🏻 Anyone who loves anime will definitely fell in love with these girls 🤍
Ignore my comment about I made in the beginning I confused dreamcatcher with gidle

My top 3 Dreamcatcher songs are Odd Eye, Vision, In The Frozen... Break The Wall, No Dot... Scream... Poison Love... Endless Night... oh wait-- 😅
Same bro ....even the classic dreamcatcher song like lullaby...daydream .. Wonderland..fly high..chase me ...and many more are good tho
