This was a recreation of something bungle wrote back in the 80s when they were kids. It's amazing to see them recreate this with the thrash gods, recording it with them in studio. What a throwback!
I've seen Patton in ~15 different forms & shows going back to seeing FNM open for Billy Idol in 1990. This album just drops the hammer like no other; it's not even close.
Was that a show where Billy (because of his accident) walked out with a cane? In LA Mike sang 2 songs from under the skirt of the drum “riser” (or whatever you call it” 😂😂😂
classic slayer sound big suprise from mr bungle but its an all star cast right ? you got 2 members of the big 4 ....its awesome 20 plus years coming mike and dave have worked together on quite a few projects
The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny was actually Bungle's first demo/EP in 1986 and this was one of the songs on it. Very death metal all the way through, so the riff and vocals are all Bungle. Quality of that recording is not great, so I'm so happy they are updating these with modern production techniques.
Yeah, I was aware that this was their original demo re-recorded. I should've mentioned that in the video. I never actually heard it. I tried to give it a listen a really long time ago, but I was a bit too closed minded for it at the time
@@StickDastardly Agreed. It's so different from their major label releases and later demos that were early versions of the debut album that I've only listen to it a handful of times myself. I'm actually really excited for them to go back and re-record the material to see what they do with it.
This song kicks ass! 🤘Love the puking rabbit 🐰🤮 in tune with his screaming. Don't apologize for nerding out on the bass, it's awesome, I picked up on it too.
Came for your Jinjer reaction, but, you know what? I'm going to stick around. BTW, Dave is not only an awesome drummer, but he's also a very honest and sweet, sweet man!
was so impressed with trey's solos on this, theres a few live recordings circulating. u may likr Dead Cross also, one of Mike recent metal bands just prior to this.
Dave Lombardo is also in Dead Cross (and Fantomas). If I remember right, Dave asked Mike to join Dead Cross after their initial vocalist didn't work out.
Fair warning. No 2 of their albums are anywhere near alike. Glad you dig this one!! Their self-titled debut was more of a ska-core funk fusion, kind of similar to Fishbone and the next 2 were jazzier type loungey stuff
That's fair. The original Bunny was damn near unlistenable to me, though. That's from a production aspect, not a slight on the skill. I just couldn't get past the shrillness of the demo to give it a fair shake. I probably should've said that in the video
After the video Mike did with S.O.D. on the retake of Speak English or Die (Habla Espanol O Muere) this doesn't surprise me at all. th-cam.com/video/bDtZLkv5q-Y/w-d-xo.html
Mr. Dunn bass is uh... thumping away. Hot damn this album is 🔥. Every song is a lethal dose of fury and perfection. This monster is album of the young century. What a freakin lineup. Yup
Hey Daz, if you like Mr. Bungle you should check Igorrr - similar level of weirdness and musicality as Mr.B. on "Disco Volante", but with more electronics... give it a shot (or maybe two, because after listening to just one song you can't say you "know" Igorrr...) and as you are a bass player I would suggest "Parpaint" th-cam.com/video/2b-rUR9M7MI/w-d-xo.html and "Cheval" th-cam.com/video/UZzYxGZ7Hmc/w-d-xo.html for starters ;-)
S.O.D. "United Forces" Ian Slayer/Lombardo "Behind The Crooked Cross" "Read Between The LIes" "World Painted Blood" Patton/Mr. Bungle, 3 in the 90s all good. Mondo Cane, Fantomas, Peeping Tom, Tomahawk, too many to list...

Yeah! I couldn't get into the original demo coz quality was buns. Lol. So glad the revisited it!!
This album wins best thrash album of all time which figures because bungle is the greatest band of all time
Yes
I've heard Of them but never listened until now... why was I in such a bubble for so long.
This absolutely kicked my butt
Mr Bungle are one of my favorites from long ago! One of Mike Patton's many, many bands. Haha
Hold the f*ck UP. Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo on Mr Bungle? That's a mashup of some of my favorite artists from high school, I'm so down for this

I love Patton. New Bungle cant wait for the album to drop.
My friend, mr bungle was the last show at the warfield before the shit went down. So glad and excited about the release, good job!
Thank you! I'm so sad they didn't make it to Atl

Definitely different for Trevor and Trey but with Mike, Scott and Dave, I wouldn't have expected any less! Fantastic track!

they played my state on my birthday, and my god it was worth the trip. sadly i saw them the very next day but ill never regret the drive
I'm jealous!
Patton was incredible for 80s-90s Bungle

Thanks!! And yeah, that definitely tickled my funny bone a bit! And Trevor's a BEAST!!
Old school metal at its finest

I'll check it out!! Thanks!!
Thanks, Jeminai, for this. Didn't know that Bungle "reunited" after all those years, I would have missed this
Dave Lombardo is also in Dead Cross (and Fantomas). If I remember right, Dave asked Mike to join Dead Cross after their initial vocalist didn't work out.
@@RobbHollen thanks for Dead Cross, never heard of them, so I'll check it out. First Fantomas is still one of all my favourites
@@RobbHollen I had forgotten about Lombardo being in Fantomas! I still need to check out Dead Cross, tbh. I'm slacking. Bad Patton fan! Bad!!
That was fun.
Thanks!

Unreal band! New song called Eracist too, worth checking out :)
I saw that one too! Been holding out listening until I film the video, which will be very soon!!
Well that’s my first bungle song I ever heard!! I’m happy I did old school thrashing for sure!!

Mr bungle is fuckin awesome!!!!!!!! And check out fantomas directors cut it's fuckin killer.
u lucky noob fuck
thanks it was twice wickid to watch it with you
No. Thank YOU!
Amazing album.
The bunny is not heavy because lombardo and ian. Ian and lombardo are there for the bunny

Very reminiscent of early Mr Bungle.... oh it is early mR Bungle... the oldest school thrash...

Hey mate you know it’s a redo of their first demo tape yeah?

I disagree with what you said about it sounding like Bay bands, Anthrax is from New York and I would day it has more of a NY thrash flavor.
I'll give ya that
S.O.D. "United Forces" Ian
Slayer/Lombardo "Behind The Crooked Cross" "Read Between The LIes" "World Painted Blood"
Patton/Mr. Bungle, 3 in the 90s all good. Mondo Cane, Fantomas, Peeping Tom, Tomahawk, too many to list...

the recorded an LP not an EP.. Also, watch Ian's recent interview.
