Much respect! I quit dirt in 2008 after a back surgery and subsequent heart attack. I stuck to street and wound up with a Goldwing. I now live in a beautiful area of north Georgia and this year I said screw it.. I bought a dirt bike again for mostly trails and fire roads. It never hurts while you’re riding.. so I’m applying the same logic as hard drinkers.. you never get a hangover if you just stay drunk. Get all the seat and peg time I can while I can!
Much respect to these guys and thank you Captain for honoring them with this video. I'm 60 and just bought a Drz400. Loving it!!! Never give up. Live life to the fullest!
I have been visiting in nursing homes for years Knowing who you are, where you are , able to walk , stand , ambulate , is a major feat in itself at 60plus. Being able to get on and operate let alone functional capacity to race at 72 is phenomenal!!!! Thank you for your work / passion in keeping these great bikes and hero’s alive for us to see .
Impressive at 72 still racing, my riding partner will be 78 soon and still rides single track, desert, and occasional motocross and has a blast while doing it!
Al might be some of my people! Stoked to see him on the track at 72, so awesome ! I'm 62 and never stopped riding since I was 10. Wish I were out there with him. 🤛
What was up with the old guys start? Seemed like he was having trouble with his bike or something. I wish the video went on for another minute at least. I wanted to see their speed. I'm 32 now and pray to God I can still ride at 72
Harder to hit a moving target. I used to tell my step dad, and dad, about some of these older classes, we lost them at 62, and 64, heart attacks, and diabetes killed them right quick and in a hurry. I tell mom to switch out her beers for healthier shit, she has hardware in hips, wrists, and a cracked vertebrae, at 67 she may need to swap out her Heritage Softail Classic for something a little more little, fn hovaround or sporty, if she doesn't except waiting for death. Osteoporosis needs to be identified early, even in men. Motocross, or just cruising dfL, is an excellent form of exercise, so long as you don't use your head as a door stop. I used to think we all get a full pull of around 100, anything less wasn't normal. Hope im privileged enough to pass on top, not rotting away waiting. hope i get to ride right up to that reaper sob.
Wow 72 wa a honour to see old school men ride they used to. Ride old school machines they probz find these bikes easy to ride compared to 30 year ago 40 year agi
Hope I’m able to ride at 72 that will be bad ass to be able to do that, we got a guy Ralph Bentley he owns his own bike shop(ktm dealer) but that dood cleans house in 50 plus an makes it to lorettas every year, he’s had every bone in his body replaced but still runs with these young bucks no problem at all!!!!
I race against Jack C. and Treadwell in Florida. They are old pros still at it and fast. I was never a pro started late..most all vets are old pro racers that are still doing it.
I think the old guy is just too old, very slow reaction, forgot to engage a gear, cannot ride straight on a flat straight line. He is a moving obstacle for others.

It's not about winning, it's about having fun when you are 70 yrs. old.
2:30 -”72 years old about to send it. What’s your excuse? Get off the couch”
Epic quote !!!!
Proof that you are never too old, if you take good care of your body and health.

not exactly a perfect start for the old dude. He forgot he was in neutral when his gate fell
He was giving them a handicap. 😅
