It's heartbreaking to hear her struggling to breathe. Getting old sucks. Thankfully her movies will mean she will never be forgotten.

The more Carroll talks the younger she looks. The conversations about Hollywood and people she knew really brought her spirit out.

It is good to know Carroll is still around. Sadly there is a badly researched video on you tube which claims Carroll came to a sad end. As one viewer claimed, she is still alive. Whoever made that video was either I’ll informed or sick. I think she is a very lovely person.❤❤❤ 7:29

Carroll's early film, Something Wild, from 1961 is now a Criterion selection, and it is very stark New York City black and white drama. With Ralph Meeker. Score by Aaron Copland.

The only movie I remember Baker in was The Big Country w/an all-star cast: Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons, Burle Ives & Chuck Connors. I still watch that movie from time to time.

“The Miracle” is my fav of all her films such a wild story and the statue of the Virgin Mary becoming flesh. That’s all I want to say you have to see this film don’t want to give it away!

Yeah, I would also like to hear more about her giallo period in Italy from 1967-73...very brave of her to leave her career in Hollywood to go and make low budget Italian flicks. But it worked out so well.

They mainly discussed the positive highlights of her career, but she didn't have much of a choice in the matter. She refused Joseph Levine's advances to her, he blackballed her to anyone of importance in the industry and she couldn't work in the states for quite some time. Soon to be Ex-husband by that point Jack Garfein was never too successful and couldn't help her out, she had her children to raise and other family members that relied on her for support. She could make good money in Italy so she moved there.

Have you read her bonkbuster "A Roman Tale" (1986)? If it's even 20% autobiographical, she had a real blast in Italy!

I just recently watched four of her Italian movies on Tubi. I loved them all. So sexy!

I've always liked Carroll. She was a good actress who got caught up in the sex symbol trap and it shortened her career. A shame.

Harlow may have had bad reviews, and Carroll may not have enjoyed being involved in it, but I thought the silent movie scenes looked great! It should have been better if it wasn’t meant to be based on a real person.

I like that. A marriage that is not consummated is a sin in the Catholic Church. I like that. Cause it is a sin. Whether or not you believe in sin.
