WiFi icon Missing from Taskbar in Windows 7 - Two Fixes
You can restore the wifi icon to the task bar by two simple methods:
1. Right click on the blank area in the taskbar- open ‘Properties’ - click on ‘Customerize’ under ‘Notification area’ - set the Network icon as ‘Show icon and Notification’ - click OK and OK.
2. Right click on the blank are in the taskbar - open ‘Start Task Manager’ - click on ‘Processes’ - select ‘Explorer.exe’ and click on ‘End Process’ - Confirm ‘End Process’ - Go to the ‘Users’ tab - select your account - click on ‘Log off’.
