Launceston is the safest Aussie city I`ve ever lived in, I can go jogging late of an evening and not in the least feel threatened, i wouldnt dare do that in Melbourne or Sydney, its very non mulitcultural, very Anglo-Celtic in demographics, no jobs in Launceston, nepotism is common practice, but if you have the means, no pressure to find a job, great city to live Launceston
Biggest question. How much of Tasmania is owned by the Chinese. MORE THAN 25% So what are you apathetic Australians doing about it. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING> You might be asked to leave soon.
Although I didn't know it then , living in Launceston for nearly 5 years was the happiest years of my 40 years life . I seen things I will never see again. I will never forget that place for as long as l live .
It seems Australia’s friendliest city has little more than memories left. There are timely issues to address here and we need feedback from people on important socioeconomic and educational issues. These folk appeared depleted and somewhat defeated. I don’t blame them. They don’t have a lot to smile about presently.

Omg I still live here
My bother left, I stayed. Nice place if you have a job. The 90s recession left scars that still show.
Have lived in Launceston all my life 60 years
