Yeah its really insane how much Day has not had different schemes for different teams?? Sometimes you should be going fast especially vs MU & Oregon, to play the same exact way in every game is crazy.. There's a reason in the second half of the season Jim & the defense has looked completely different in each game
Whenever the previous meeting of these two teams is brought up Peyton Manning's name always gets mentioned but don't forget that it also had the Heisman award winner Eddie George. In fact there were a lot of players who were headed to the NFL on the field that day.

Any time we've had a defense on its heels or a chance to put a defense on its heels Day and/or Kelly backs off and let's the defense recover. And it's b/c THEY are too involved in each play. Even when our offense quickly gets to the line, they do that stupid thing of looking back to the sideline 2-3 times. Snap the damn ball!!
UT gave up 297 & 347 passing to Arkansas & UGA. If OSU works their secondary, the UT LBs will begin to hesitate. Won't get much on the ground against UT unless the OSU pass has them on their heels. UT ran up stupid stats against four non-conf cupcakes, but only averaged 25-19 in SEC play. Six of their eight games were against teams in the bottom seven of the SEC and they lost one of those to ARK. Sampson can run. They have no passing game. Goal posts aren't going anywhere. OSU 24-15 and it might not be that close if Howard plays mistake-free.
Here’s where I’m at. I have limited confidence in Day’s ability to put the guys in the best position to win. If Tress or Urban were coaching this team I would feel confident about the vols game. And they would have whipped scum.
I have ZERO FAITH in OSU Defense containing Tenn. QB Nico from scrambling on pass plays - OSU DL let’s all QB’s escape for big gains, even less athletic QB’s
The rubber is gonna meet the road tomorrow, we have to get the job done. Tired of hearing the same things, problems with the OLINE, lack of pass rush and rotation on the DLINE, vanilla play calling, slow starts, all of these issues have been on repeat for the last few years. Everyone knows what the deficiencies are, even us fans. It's time for Day to be more concerned with getting it right instead of being concerned with being right. I don't care about how you want to win the game, I am just concerned with winning the game. This team has an opportunity to flip the script over this next month and it starts tomorrow. Let's get it done, Bucks!

UT played six of the seven worst SEC teams and only managed a 25-19 ppg average score. 9-3 Alabama and 7-5 FLA are UT's "signature" wins. I don't think they go on the road and score 27 on the stingiest defense in the country. 24-15 OSU and it might not be that close if Howard protects the ball better.
If Ohio State loses their fans will brag about how they lost a close game and demand they be ranked pre season #1 bc that’s what “Ohio state deserves!”. Moral victory university!
