Miki was the greatest talent to ever surf Malibu, and he started his career on a Joe Quigg surfboard in the early fifties. Then he redifined surfing at Malibu on Joe Quigg's boards in 1957 through the early sixties when all the surfboard building companies copied the Joe Quigg boards and clamored to copy them and sponsor Miki with their label on a Joe Quigg shape and design. But Joe Quigg's boards were always the boards that Miki did best on. As for Miki's behavior on land, who gives a fuck. There are legions of non surfing kooks who got as much mileage as they could on Miki's character on land, but it doesn't matter! They are all kooks and wanna bees, but Miki was a genius, and Joe Quigg was a genius, and the two talents made a phenomena happen, and that's what counts!
