It was great to see that the sumo springs won in the end. Next to independent suspension, I think these are the best thing to hit the RV world in a while. You pair that up with disc brakes...then you are the cool campers we all want to be 😂😂
We installed sumo springs on our 5th wheel in June. Since then, we have traveled from southern WV to Nashville and eventually to Bar Harbor, ME and back. The sumo’s made a huge difference in how well the 5th wheel handled the roads. My wife shares the driving and was particularly happy with the results.
Glad the springs are still working. Glad you won’t be having any plates coming out or something falling off the coffee bar. It looked easy to fix but hard at the sane time. Glad you can take with you to use in your next Rv. That’s sure is a plus there. Dustin you are a great handy man. Leslie is a happy wife and your life is happy. You are a sweet couple. Love you dearly! ❤❤🤗 🤗
I just installed front sumo springs on a 2006 class A motorhome. Went on a 20 miles trip on a road I often travel. The difference was incredible. Most of the sway was gone, and the ride was much smoother and quiet. Came back home and ordered the rear. Rarely do you see a product slo simple yet so effective. This should be standard out of the factory.
Suma springs are a great product that's works, we have had ours for about four years and are very satisfied. Hope to run into y'all again at the Tampa show. We enjoy your videos and Safe travels
We hope to run into you too. As it gets closer to the Tampa Show, we will be putting out dates, times, and locations of where we will be during the show.
Yes. We just lifted the back ones so we could install both sides, then lowered it back down. It is probably not how you are supposed to do it so we didn't share that part on the video.
The lifetime warranty is true. We had an issue with one moving and we received a replacement part free of charge. Installing this weekend and traveling in a couple of weeks.
We have the MORryde independent suspension on our Riverstone 42fskg. But I did replace the front bump stops on my Ford F450 with the Sumo Spring Bump stops. Not as much jolt in the front end as before.
Great video I think I'll look into them probably by him right now I got to have an operation so I'll be down for a little bit longer but hey hopefully be out there traveling soon and I love you video because of the Fallen Soldiers they're all Brothers thank you for your time
Just watched this video. I've seen other videos about SumoSprings but the candy in the glass has just convinced me. I, for one, am totally disgusted almost every time i pull into a campground and find something else the road has broken. I pull a 2020 Jayco Eagle HT 280RSOK with my 2021 GMC Denali 2500 HD. Total rig weight is 19,400. It almost never sees speeds above 60. Slow and steady is the route for me. But no matter how careful I am driving, something is always either coming loose or falling out of cabinets. This last trip, the cushions on the couch were 10 feet from the couch. A valance over one of the windows has torn loose. Soon as I get home, I'm ordering these things. Thanks for the Promo Code. That pays for the PA state tax. Thanks for the video.
After our run from home in MN to Florida, I definitely want to upgrade the suspension & sumo springs seem like a good option. Unfortunately since we are leaving on Sunday morning, I doubt they would arrive in time for our departure. They will be getting added after we get home for sure!
We just did Missouri to Florida and back. We are thankful we had the Sumo Springs. There is no telling what would have broken along the way. These roads are getting worse and worse.
It sure would be nice to have them for our trip back....there are some spots along the way that are brutal. I have now dubbed those "sumo spring roads" 😎
We are glad it wasn't the source also. We love the smoother ride. We just installed Sumo Springs on the truck 2 days ago. We'll let you know how that goes.
@@WaywardWaggs We had actually installed Timbrens on the F350 before we left Texas last year. Makes a big difference, less squat and more lateral stability. I am not sure if Sumo Springs were available for our truck last year.
just took advantage of the WAYWARDWAGGS discount with super springs international for (2) sets of the TSS-107-47. I plan to install them on my 2016 Jayco Eagle fifth wheel. anybody else done this to their Eagle fifthwheel? thanks you guys!!
Your video and simplicity of install sold me but When those are installed do you install as the trailer sits level or do you put all weight on axle and install?
Yes they will. They are a little different from ours on a fifth wheel. Here is a link to the Class A models of Sumo Springs. www.superspringsinternational.com/ford-f53/
Great video! We just purchased an Alliance Paradigm 390MP. Curious if you had to relocate any hoses on your install? I’m not sure which model Paradigm you have but I suspect the undercarriage is similar, if not the exact same as ours. Thanks!
Thanks for the great video! You gave me the confidence to order Sumo Springs for our 340RL. I saw where you did not need to use the spacers on your 340. Did you ever happen to take the measurements with normal weight on your leaf springs (leveling jacks withdrawn) as suggested by the instructions?
Great video! Definitely gives you a lot to think about. Did you ever find out what was causing the tire wear? I don't know if I missed that in the video or what. Just curious
It touches the frame when under a load and when you hit bumps. The Sumo Spring fills the gap between the springs and frame and reduces that big bounce.
2nd video didn’t have any pot holes or speed bumps. I would think they would make for a rougher ride just like adding airbags to a truck makes it a more stiffer ride. There’s not enough play for the axle to go up and down to absorb the bumps. 🤷♂️
We rode the exact same route in both clips so there wouldn't be any difference. I'm not sure how the science of it works. All I know is it doesn't bounce our stuff all over the place and break our stuff. The video is not designed to convince you to buy them. We make $0 if you buy them. We are just sharing our experience.
The difference between a airbag on a truck is the truck is designed as is with shocks and springs so you’re adding a higher spring rate. With the sumo spring you preload them so that they become the spring and alleviate the weight on your factory springs. Sumo springs have a progressive rate vs the leaf springs. So that’s how they end up making the ride softer by becoming the spring.
It works only on compression and not in decompression to control de rebonds so it doesn’t help. A real test will be before and after with a few vibration sensors inside and outside the right to measure the all the movements……..waste of money. The on’y way to improve the suspension is an independant one or adding shocks but not at angle like people do……..perception is not a good way to tell that there is improvement!
Doesn't take much to destroy a rv when they start out as total junk to begin with. Rvs made before 1990 had alot better build quality then the crap they push out today.
@WaywardWaggs Most country back roads and gravel roads that have to be maintained often are not meant to be driven on with such heavy loads such as RV's trailering all their toys with them. When a gravel road has a weight limit and a speed limit, it is not just to annoy tourists. It is there to avoid ruts, pot holes, grade washing, etc, and so that we can afford to maintain those roads and so, that stuff that you are complaining about can be mitigated.
For anyone looking to purchase these, go to their website and they are offering a 20% off deal called FALL22 available at checkout. I believe it's good through November 25th.

We agree. For those who do not have independent suspension, Sumo Springs should be a factory option.
Thanks to you and this video, got them installed in Bout 30 minutes. Hope they help!
Awesome! Really hope you like them as much as we do 😁
I’M researching the Sumo Springs. We have a 365RD. I appreciate your video. Thank you

Thanks for the video, as well as the promo code, that took a good deal off the price. I will be installing these this coming weekend.

Great video. Just between us, do they really work? Can you tell a difference?
They really do. We took them off for one of the travel days and it bounced us around like crazy. We are big fans of the Sumo Springs.
We developed a small gas leak (propane) from our CRE3000 bracket crushing the propane line from our travels. Those springs look like they would help.
They probably would. The kit also comes with some hardware to rerout propane lines in case they are getting rubbed or crushed.
This is a great comparison! We are looking to upgrade to a 340RL. I’m curious. Did you ID your premature tire wearing?
Yes. We had low tire pressure because of cold weather.
@@WaywardWaggs Thank you. Working on a 340RL deal now. Likely see you at a future rally!
Your video and simplicity of install sold me but When those are installed do you install as the trailer sits level or do you put all weight on axle and install?
We jacked the back of the RV up to create the gap between the axles and frame to install the Sumo Springs, then lowered the RV back down.
Will they work on a class A motorhome?
Yes they will. They are a little different from ours on a fifth wheel. Here is a link to the Class A models of Sumo Springs. www.superspringsinternational.com/ford-f53/

We have a 340RL and did not have to relocate any lines. I am not sure if there are any lines on the 390MP that would need to be moved.

Yes, we measured. We didn't show it on the video.
Great video! Definitely gives you a lot to think about. Did you ever find out what was causing the tire wear? I don't know if I missed that in the video or what. Just curious
It was low tire pressure due to cold Temps. It took a lot longer for Temps to come up during the cold.
First time seeing your videos I’m going to watch more
I do have a question
Do you have sumo springs on your truck
We just installed the Sumo Springs on the truck 2 days ago. We are looking forward yo seeing if they help the ride even more.
I like that 😂😂😂
Omg, I was going to say that Leslie!!! LMAO🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣
So these don’t interfere with your stock springs and suspension?
No. Not at all.
I was shocked the cup survived.
We were too
So does the top of the sumo spring touch anything?
It touches the frame when under a load and when you hit bumps. The Sumo Spring fills the gap between the springs and frame and reduces that big bounce.

HEY - just saw a news brief regarding a salmonella risk from bearded dragons. Are you aware of that?
Ya. They can carry salmonella. We have never had an issue with Scout.
