Signal on the far left: 2 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs.
Signal on the near left: 3 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell.
After M209 came through, I continued on up to Franklin to get this crossing rerecorded as well. As I got here, I heard M209 meeting M575 at Salmons, so I went ahead and got set-up. Just a few minutes later, CSX M575 came south through the crossing with an ES44AH pulling on the head-end and an AC44CW and an ET44AH working as the train's DPUs.
Sometime within the past year or so, the old Federal Signal cantilever here, the last one along the line, was sadly replaced. Interestingly, CSX chose to reuse another Federal Signal cantilever here, with this one I believe having been one of the old signals at Cherry Street in Franklin. Due to this signal replacement, however, this crossing sadly lost its 8 inch lights, but thankfully still retains its neat set-up. Dunno why the cantilever was replaced and why CSX chose to reuse another older cantilever here, but I'm glad they did the latter at least. As a result, the Mainline Sub still retains a classic Federal Signal cantilever along it, which I'm rather thankful for. It'd be a shame if the L&N's original mainline had lost all of the style of this style of cantilever, given that the L&N loved to use these back in the day (and they are sadly slowly disappearing from ex-L&N trackage).

Great catch, shame the cantilever got replaced, but hey at least the classic incandescent mast signal in the other side is still here :)

Thanks! The mast on the other side isn't super classic, I believe it's from the late-90s, lol.

Great video! Really cool that CSX re-used a FS cantilever that previously replaced another one!

There is a gas station by I-65 around Franklin that you can actually film trains from in the winter months (provided you can get a clear line of sight).
