Signal on the far left: 2 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs.
Signal on the near left: 2 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights and 1 pair of Federal Signal 8 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell.
This was the third crossing I caught Q573 at. I would've recorded it at the crossing to the north of this one, as I quite like how the 8 inch signal there looks, but the sun had already moved to this side of the tracks by the time Q573 got close, so I moved on down to this crossing.
This crossing itself is also pretty nice. It appears that the signals here were originally installed by the L&N in the 1970s, though in the late-1990s, the signals on the far side were both replaced by CSX. Then, in 2018, a car struck the bell-less mast signal here, and CSX had to replace it as a result. As such, there's a nice little variety of equipment at this crossing, which, IMHO, is quite nice to see. I especially like the off-side Federal Signal cantilever on this side, which has managed to survive all these years almost completely unchanged. I also love the GS Type 1 here, since they're easily my favorite e-bell.
All in all, it's a great crossing that I'm glad I was finally able to record almost four years after I first saw it.
