I work for a local city government. Lots of people don’t understand that It’s a good idea to do a little research before you plant a tree. Nobody wants 100 foot tall tree next to their house that I know of. Great video. Thanks.

Great hearing you back on a concrete video David. Can’t wait for part 2. I’m going to be rewatching a lot of your slab videos coming up soon since I’m about to do my first “big” slab for inside my horse shelter.

It is great that they do recycle the concrete.
Nice to hear Odell Papa describing the process, bravo!

Love watching your videos in the areas of my old OC stomping grounds. I wish it was more like when I grew up in the 60s and 70s. Orange, Avocado trees and open spaces everywhere. Outstanding content guys.

So you know…..your narration is part of the appeal to your vids…..your son does quality work but if it’s not your voice I don’t watch…..I wonder if I’m the only one or others feel like this……..also…..channels like yours go a long way in showing and celebrating the trades….it Iis definitely a lot of hard work but it takes thinking and experience to do it right…..you don’t get that from a 4 year degree……I bet it’s satisfying and rewarding doing the quality work you do and I hope it encourages young people to go into it….

a lot of roots there.. always good to plant trees away from your utilities and sewer line or the roots can damage them and it gets expensive.

In our hood here in HB they took out the trees on some streets. Some of the decomposing areas are a foot deep and the city hasn’t been back out to fill them. Amazed they haven’t been sued yet for twisted or broken ankle. I’ve filled the one in front of our home at least three times and it’s still sinking.
Of course they replaced the trees they took out with trees that will ruin the sidewalk and curb in the next tens years and we’ll wait another ten past that to get them repaired again.

How much different is the concrete world now then when you started in 80s/90s. I look back at when I started my apprenticeship in 05 for electrical work. All the new tools with batteries and the equipment has total changed. I haven’t used an extension cord in a few years

Concrete pavers would look way better and adjust for anything else that decides to move the ground. Probably less expensive than concrete and rebar nowadays
