Thanks patreons I frigging hate ads another fine example of your dedication to making repairs and adjustments for better amp life and performance. Most appreciated dedication to stressing the importance of safety.
That Reddy Kilowatt picture you use Was Arkansas Made, the Malvarn Arkansas a Big Dam was Reddy Kilowatts Logo, I an 74 Years Old, I remember CB Radios from the Get Go. BEFORE more channels 1963 Regency Range Gain CB Radio transceiver was my first Big Rig, I put High Power Vacuum Tubes in it Transmissions from Hot Springs, Arkansas were Loud in Fort Smith Arkansas, Home Made Antenna.
capacitance stubs..lol yeah thats what causes lots of problems, as you went through this amp i wa saying to myself, nope that not good, must be earthed both ends, whahahahaha...anyway good video, good comments and super fix!
96% rubbing alcohol takes marker off also, also thins/liquifies solder flux. I often use some with an clean acid brush to clean the board after repairs, it pretty much hides that any work has been done, as long as your soldering skills match the existing.
Youre right down the road from me. I’m in Rankin County. We talk on 26.885 at night and channel 20 early in the mornings like 4:30-7 am. Hope to hear you on the air.
Is there any books I could get to learn how to build amplifiers. I’m 32 and been in and out of the hobby. I found old plans to build transistor boxes. But it doesn’t explain how it works or what the components do. I took electronics in high school and can read a schematic. But I’d like to build my own and learn how to tune them. Thanks for your time.
If rhat was built from a texh and not a xoot cat builder it would be a great bix used and cheap parts you will always have problems xharge more use good whit and have no unnecessary fails
Hello Fellow Amphaulics, Friends, And Supporters Of The World Renowned BBI AMPS: Thank you Luke for bringing the importance of grounding to our attention. By just adding a few grounds & a small capacitor to smooth out the input tune this box & power supply are operating like never before. God Bless & my best to the family TMP, Unit 22 from N.J.
Excellent have run into oscillating amps. B-4 😮 and internal circuit coax with incomplete ground points
Only to scratch head!...golden screwdrivers

Great video! Very nice amplification factor. Are these 3cx800s or 4cx800s (GU-74b)?
Awesome clean work.. BBI..THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO TO TEACH AND KEEP THIS HOBBY ALIVE GREAT JOB!!.👍✌🏼

They invented capacitance. It's a trade secret. Now the cat's out of the bag!
Professionally put. Great job.

Now THAT…. that hurt my brain. 👍🏼
What in the actual fack is up with the keying relay . O.m.GOD!😂
Happy farthers day!

That's a hot rod! Damn
Oh Lordy 😫
thanks luke for explaining things the way you do for new hams like me kb0uzz
Truth Hurts! Extremely informative.
28:00 The stupidity of some builders never ceases to amaze me!😱
