BMW 320d ambient temperature sensor faulty | AC not working | -40 degrees

Ambient temperature sensor senses outside temperature sensor. A fault in the outside temperature sensor being too cold can automatically cause your AC to cut off.
In this particular case the dashboard is showing -40 degrees.
Wiring cut can be a common fault in this case.
