Was wondering what part of the north you are in. Love watching your videos with all the birds and other wildlife you show. We don't see to many jays here in Saskatchewan but do see them Russ
@5:52 the grouse (I believe that's what was said) so hauntingly beautiful. I've never seen one! So grand! The entire video is grand. Well done, lesleythebirdnerd!
I always loved watching flocks of crows practicing flying in thermals before the winter. I am sure this is too help younglings but it looks like a school of fish or Top Gun jets practicing maneuvers.
Bravo....I thought I was watching Nature on PBS.......Lesley you are a real Professional, photography and narration excellent.....thanks for all you do and the enjoyment you give all year round. Merry Christmas and a great New Year

Lesley, thank you for this marvelous Christmas present! Beautifully done! Excellent photography, perfect music, poetic narration. Season’s Greetings to you, be well.
You are so very welcome. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I truly loved working on this one over the last few weeks. All the best to you over the lovely holiday season and especially in the new year. Thanks for all the lovely comments and support. Take care
Such a beautiful video one of the best ever! I'm curious, is that a black-footed ferret at the end of the video? So cute! Merry Christmas to you & all your woodland friends!
Lesley you ask the question every time at the end of your Videos hoping if I enjoyed myself watching it. And I always say out loud "OH YES I SURE DID!" Your Lovely voice, the gorgeous scenery, the Birds and the Critters and on top of it all the knowledge of each animal you see helps me experience with pleasure all that I want to learn. The older I get the more I love all that is around me and I'm noticing now the many animals in my small neck of the woods and it's all because of you. Your narration is beautiful it brings the life from outside into our lives.
What a beautiful birding documentary. The scenery is gorgeous and the birds you have around you are amazing. I am in Michigan and when I hear someone say out the way you do I can tell you must be from Canada. Northern Canada. Maybe I am wrong. I have watched you on and off for a while and now I am watching much more. Do you have any advice for me? I am moving in the spring/summer to my home in the thumb of Michigan’s lower penninsula. I am now in the Detroit area. We get birds in our yard, in the woods there at our other home where we are moving permanently but I would like to maximize this. I get the normal finches house, and gold finches, chickadees, rose breasted grosbeaks a rare cedar waxwing but it has been years, and we get Veery Thrush who sound amazing but are a rare site, and lots of wood peckers downy and red bellied, and eastern phoebes juncos etc. but I want the blue jays that I never see up there. We are right off Lake Huron and att our friends house they have purple Martins, Sand pipers and gulls. Can it draw blue jays to wooded areas? I will live in the woods?
I am hooked on your videos now. Your voice and narration with the beautiful videos are mesmerizing to my ears. It is like poetry in motion. Good Job Lesley. I have a bird sanctuary myself. I am in love with my birds and squirrels and creatures of all sorts. Been helping them for years now. I am 61 now, and still am enjoying all of this. Never want to stop. Love God's creatures. I will be doing this until the day I die.
The most beautiful narration of any of your videos I have watched so far. Thank you, Lesley. I pray you and your beloved husband are well and safe, keeping yourselves warm this winter. Come back to us, give us more beautiful and informative videos of these beautiful flying creatures beautify our world whenever you are ready. Thank you and take care.

Hi Lesley, I recently started watching your videos. They are very relaxing and educational. I appreciate the effort you put in to make them. Have a happy and healthy 2019. ☺️🐦
I always make sure our birds know where to find food, especially during the winter. Nice video. Beautiful winter scenes but I'm glad you have the snow & not me. I don't do well in the cold. Fortunately being in central Texas we seldom see snow. On the other hand, we do play host for many of your migrants for the winter & try to keep the feeders full for the locals. I enjoy them while they are here & miss them when Spring moves them north. So, here's to the seasons & the changes each bring each in their time of the year.
Beautiful footage Lesley! you are very good at filming and story telling :) Thanks for sharing the video with us, And Merry Christmas! To you and your family!👍😎JP
Such beautiful scenery, absolutely gorgeous. And the blue jays nestled in a tree all floofed up, melting my heart, I am simply infatuated by those birds ^v^

Beautiful. I have many of these birds at my feeders in the winter, along with downy and hairy woodpeckers. Also have a pair of red bellied woodpeckers that I enjoy watching.
I always make sure to have seed varieties and peanuts available for the birds. We have chickadees, cardinals, a woodpecker and of course blue jays. I am so glad they know they can find food here. I’ve been gifted some organic rye and pumpernickel bread by a neighbor and will be setting that out as well.
A lovely documentary. Winter might just be starting, but at least the days will be getting longer again. Fascinating bird at 5:50. Never heard of or seen these before. Thanks! Happy holidays!

Thankyou for the great little video, I'll have to keep an eye out to see some of those Pine grossbeaks here in Western Canada. my Cub scouts also enjoyed one of your videos about chickadees they were chickadeeing after watching the video all the way out the building on their way home.
The snow scenes are gorgeous! What a lovely sight, the Grosbeaks feeding on the apples in the tree. It was neat to see the Hare and the beautiful sun's halo. Wow! The Willow Ptarmigan is so well camouflaged and did resemble a ghost! It makes sense though. Lovely to see the Moose and baby. It was so much fun to watch the White Winged Crossbills eating the goodies from the cones. What was that storm, Sheila's ---? I like the adorable little Ferret(?). You have so very many gorgeous scenes in this video. The blue sky toward the end is a lovely sight!

Thank-you so much for all your hard work, these videos are top notch and straight to the heart. I would love to buy some photos of Sweet Girl, Blue, Hormoso and the gang, can I do so and how? Take care Todd and thanks so much for all the comments and support. Merry Christmas to you.
LesleytheBirdNerd Ooohhhh yes quite a storm indeed! Fond memories of skiing and sledding when school was closed! I like the name Paddy's brush (sweeping the winter away) gotta remember that one. 😃 Merry Christmas Lesley!
Awesome video!! I love birding in Winter. You did a fantastic work to film all the winter birds and with all the production of this video. I like it vey much. Great job.
oh Lesley, this piece is so artful. i am saving it to a special file so i can find it when i need soothing. great writing, lovely reading, some of your very best camera work, and the ambient music sets the whole thing off like art song. you are the best. bless you my dear.
Where have I been that I didn't see such quality video pictures of north american birds?? Thanks lady....I love to feed in Northern Michigan and most of the birds you are featuring I have coming to my feeders on the shores of Lake Michigan. Keep up the good work. >>>>> PLEASE note that I have found a good way to prevent bird smacks on the bay window the feeders are located 10 feet from....I have found that ordering a fruit tree net long enough to drape over the 5 window array hung by christmas light hooks, works very well without a major visibility issue looking out...in fact we don't even notice it anymore. Before we had at least one bird smack per week which the hawks learned was a great way to feed. NO MORE...the net works perfectly and even though there is only an inch or two between the net and window, the birds are able to see the net and avoid the window when flared or flying off. Hope this helps your readers with similar problems.

Happy Christmas to you, Lesley. be safe and warm and may love surround and hold you all year long.
Love your channel! 🕊 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🐿
