You should unsubscribe I cost you too Money finding these ones. LOL It is unique if not a small taste of the GM flavor for $2300 less

Did some comparing of graphs on Squiglink. The OH700VB has a similar graph to my Monarch OG…. Interesting.

Kudos to the manufacturers and designers of the DD unit, balancing all the ingredients of good bass without ruining the rest of the tuning is tough to achieve.
This set would need extra comparison to have a better idea how it change from the rest of the competitors.
Dunu S6 MK2, canon 2 comes to mind when you describe them but i have no idea how they sound aside from the graph cues and tech configurations.

Great review! I am considering picking up this set but wondered if you could write a sentence or two about how they compare to another 1+6 in the Okavango which I have bought and sold. Thanks for what you do!
I also sold the Okavango I had the OG before they changed the tuning.
OH700VB waaaaaay smoother bass more sub focused bit better quality, mids and highs also more organic on the Oriveti and smoother highs. The Okavango had a bit of a strange tuning and since our feedback changed the tuning. Hope that helps .
Have you tried the Monarch MK 3? Just wondering if the experience with this is different enough to justify buying. I also have the FF Maestro Mini on (extensive back) order. Thanks and good review
FF good choice loved the GM ans Scarlett Mini, As forward the Oriveti it is excellent worth the ask, I didn't think the MM3 was. I keep the OH700VB close in my favorite box.

Was wondering about cable rolling with this set and with the Xenns up. Did you find any sonic improvements with other cables for either set? Perhaps a silver plated copper? Guessing an all copper may be a tad warm. Both stock cables seem decent enough but would love to throw something on them that might bump em up a tad. Thanks!

Thanks for another banger review. One reputable reviewer om headfi described the 700s as goosebumb inducers. And when i heard the audio sample on Dan's audio reviews, i can feel that same reaction for certain tracks. I am.considering between this and fatfreq grand maestro. Would you say the grand maestros also have the special sauce and emotional quality that the 700s have?
The GM are beyond spectacular in a different league IMO
Thanks monk!! Now I can put aside my need for a blind buy on the Oriveti 700VB knowing that there is something out there in a similar vein, but much more special. This helps tremendously. Looking forward to try out the GM in the upcoming Singapore Canjam and settling in on what could be a truly remarkable set for me to enjoy my music. Every other online review points towards GM or the Trifecta's as something that I should consider for my tastes.@@tonedeafmonk
@@tonedeafmonk Hey Monk! Gave the GM some listening time at CanJam Singapore. It was good surely but unemotive for me. Amongst what I tried Campfire Trifecta's were what came up as truly special for me. Hope you get to try it one day and share your thoughts too :)

That's a bold move to put tuning switch on the faceplate, may not be usable for sleep listening,
Probably not a great one for sleeping on as I would be worried about that switch.
Would the OH700VB be a good upgrade as an "endgame" IEM when compared to the Yanyin Canon 2 and Simgot EA1000 or would it be a redundant purchase?
A Sidegrade with different tuning IMO it's a great IEM but not Endgame material as tuning won't work for all genres

You'll choose the DTE900 over this? I'm looking for my first 200$+ iem, and want something to go pretty well with most genres. Also interested in hearing the est magic. I love the looks of both of them, found the oriveti used for 100 bucks cheaper than dte900 tho.
What would be your first choice for a newbie in this battle?

Damn tough call both IEM's are excellent but OH700VB would be a excellent choice for you at that price.

How similar is it to the Twilight? Would the twilight be an upgrade?
Hard to compare a single DD to a hybrid with different tunings no they don't sound similar.

Hi, would you recommend this as a complimentary set to the XENNS UP? My current Fav set is the UP, I'd like to get something that's a bit more detailed, larger sounding (stage) and a tiny bit more energetic than the UP.
Some options that I've considered are EA1000, Top, Hype 4, OH700VB & MEXT. What would you suggest?
I think it would be a excellent choice and the OG Oracle surprised you never considered the TOP?

So your recommendation would be between Top, OH700VB & Oracle OG then. Oracle OG is not available here so between the Top & OH700VB which one sounds like it has a higher resolution (vs UP), large soundstage with good Image? something that's a bit more detailed and energetic in the higher frequencies (vs UP) but not as spicy/sharp as IE 600, Blessing 2 for example. I plan to pair it with the R6 Pro II which is a mostly neutral source with a hint of warmth.
@@audiofile1178 Can I make a suggestion for the Sound Rhyme DTE900 or PENON 10th over TOP and OH700VB.
DTE900 would be my top choice
@@tonedeafmonk I have not heard about the DTE900 but Penon products aren't available here locally, I don't want to import them as customs tax here is pretty high.
If I can't find the DTE900, which of the two (Top vs OH700VB) would you recommend?

What your thought oh700vb vs og oracle
For me Oracle just hits all my preferences more and for the extra $ you would save buy the PULA PA02 and get both for the same price as the OH700VB
How are they compared to the Canon 2?

Any sets get you 90% there sub $100? (Just Walk Away, lol)
It has a unique tuning other sets can get you the bass but not the overall experience and extension sub $100 sorry to say not going to happen. You could EQ a Simgot EM6L?

Great review but one note ..Aful is not monitor tuning.Monitor heads have significant rise at 3 khz.I found SLT 6 at 400$ do you think it's worth it or better saving for Oriveti?I hear a lot of classical music too.
