    I love your videos. You always find a very good way of explanation which helps us to understand the problem, understand how it is like that, understand why we should learn it that way, and I find it easier to learn when I deeply understand the problem.Thank you very much!! :)

    In addition to "want to" becoming "wanna", "get a" became "geda". Great lesson, Larissa! I had Brazilian student last semester tell me that he embarrassed himself when he said that he missed the bitches in Brazil. He meant beaches. Learning experience!

    In general, it's noticed we stress at the letters t, p k c of a word. Is it true? Whadi mean to say is any tips to remember where or which sounds are generally stressed in a word?

    • @excitedaboutlearning1639
      @excitedaboutlearning1639 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might think that because K, P & T are stops. So instead of letting the air flow freely, you let it get together and then you release it as one package. The said sounds are also aspirated, so there's a little puff of air that is released upon releasing the "package." Spanish, French, Italian and many other languages don't have this puffing quality in their P, K and T sounds respectively.

    Please, share more lesson like that (rhythm). I'd like to reduce my accent, which make English native misunstand what I say. I have a really strong accent and I have some difficulty to speak in the correct rhythm.

    As beautiful as it may be, English is still such a tough and a pain in the ass Language to learn. Every area of it is difficult. Even so, I am not giving up until I finally master it. Just like Asta who struggles to be the wizard king, I too, will be able to speak like an American native speaker someday.

    please ..what's a meaning of higher in pitch that you said in the middle of that video

    • @elementalenglish
      @elementalenglish  8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +mostafa yones "Higher in pitch" means that the musical note of your voice goes higher. This is just like a song, where a singer can sing low notes and high notes. This change in pitch is just typically more subtle in spoken English than in music.
      Does that help?

    How to pronounce want ? Is it wan without t ?

    • @imjustonereyes8175
      @imjustonereyes8175 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Salwa Saad since the letter t has a similar tongue position to the letter n she said the letter n instead of t, but that happens because the letter t is followed by the letter d "wanT New iPhone" (she's using sentence linking)
