    This was an awesome tutorial, Randy.....For years, I have tried inserting pictures into my templates, using various methods, vut since I was unfamiliar with VBA, I never used that as an option.....You just made my life so much easier. I now can "finish a lot of programming that was left undone due to the picture insert hurdle. You just saved the day...thanks so much :)

    I have a question. If I want to set the picture as the background of my worksheet, how may I tweak the VBA code?

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi and thanks very much. You can set the page background in the page settings tab. There would be no need to use VBA for this. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

      Hi Temyra, thanks so much for your email. It is possible using an ActiveX component with a Mouse Move event. I go over that in this training: th-cam.com/video/fg0hPuLDYwQ/w-d-xo.html
      Thanks again for your continued support

      @@ExcelForFreelancers Thank a lot for hint, very useful. My idea is to develop an interactive catalog, user click on a part of picture and it appears as quantity in store and price. This will be useful to perform cost estimate. How do you think as idea? See you later

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI Temyra, thanks for your idea. I think it is really interesting and could be very useful. Here is another sample in which i use the hover control th-cam.com/video/1sZdHchyibo/w-d-xo.html
      I hope this helps and thanks so much.

      Hi and thanks, you can search for some 3rd party Excel tools that can fix a corrupted Excel file. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

    In the sub InsertPicture - how can i add multiple shapes to the one sheet

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi and thanks you can simply duplicate the code to add more shapes. You can also add a shape while recording a macro, that will show you how to add specific shapes.
      I hope this helps and thanks so much.

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi and thanks for your comment. You would probably want to use a 3rd party API to remove the background. This would require a bit of research however I am sure its possible. Thank you for your Likes, Shares & Comments. It really helps.

    It is possible to read from a Rs232 serial port using vba I am trying to place the values of a digital scale but I have not succeeded so far ....

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI and thanks so much. You can try with a USB scale that has a keyboard interface and also check the manufacturer details on that as i had not worked with one before.
      I hope this helps and thanks so much.

    Hi Randy and All. What a fantastic video, I am struggling with inserting files into Excel. Question how can I insert a pdf, doc, xls or other file. Thks

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Keidra, thanks for your email. Concerning inserting files, you would want to insert it as an object. I have a video on that here:
      th-cam.com/video/WZXF6xFDhFE/w-d-xo.html
      I hope this helps and thanks so much.
