Thanks for the videos of cracking packs and sharing collections. Those videos have been a source of fun and laughs for me in this uncertain time. I am not a collector or investor I just love playing commander, pioneer, modern, and pauper, however I did manage to pick up a Metal Worker in foil when some sellers were dropping prices significantly in February. More than that, it's a non-action. It's something that won't affect the business in any way or form, that won't do any good for the battle against racism, it's just a way of saying "yeah, we're against racism, so let's do this thing that no one was asking for and call it a day".

It's definitely a strange time with all the bands. Some of these cards, you really have to dig into a name or even the artwork to see something uncouth, or not PC.

I don’t understand the banning of jihad. This whole set was a celebration of the middle eastern culture. Anyone who was around back then would probably agree with me. I certainly didn’t hear folks screaming racism back then. I personally think the picture on Jihad is badass. It looks incredible. Same with Crusade.
They're trying to portray Islam in a good light by censoring their horrible past, while other sites like Twitter censor the their horrible deeds in this day and age.

Stone Throwing was different variant of light and dark on the mana symbol. I also think it was a stretch when they announced this one was banned because everyone would have to research for an hour to figure why....
I've owned a lot of vintage cards in my day. Of all of them, I really wish I had my arabian nights mountains. I don't know what it is about them, but they're great. I wish I had the mint Beta underground sea I sold for waaaay to little too, but yeah. those mountains.

Its price is because of pauper. (Its called the black lotus of pauper). Also, black doesnt get that cards effect anymore.

Stupid thing is, most of the banned cards were already on the ‘reserved list’ so they weren’t going anywhere anyway. And people didn’t really play with them in tournaments either.

PLus the whole meaning behind the stone throwing devils is that in the bible Jesus supposedly said " Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone" But devils would be the ultimate trolls and seek to stone people to death. Lotta biblical stuff in the early mtg sets.

Lol have you not seen the current value of these cards? He hasn't lost anything. The value of these cards is up thousands and thousands of dollars.
The Number one takeaway is Rudy ain't selling these for life or money. He is taking them to the grave because his cost is zero because timmys are buying new product like wild fire.

I think he’s only doing that for his opening videos, I’m assuming he does different types of videos in different locations, as he always uses this playmat for collection audits so he probably does all his collection audits at a different location to where he does all his openings which I’m assuming is where all his Terese Nielson artwork playmat’s are. Also Rudy just squeezes in a video whenever he can so he may not have been prepared with his playmats. Also this could have been filmed way in advance. Sorry for the long response but just thought I’d share some thoughts.

Jihad isn't inappropriate for any reason other than the name. The cards artwork looks like some kind of Asian dynasty, the name references something with origins from the middle east, and the card pumps white creatures which even if you want to argue are white people they still have nothing to do with jihads or Asian culture.
