    Nice to see ya'll are still out there. Haven't seen a video in some time. Thought maybe ya'll was done.
    Ok thanks for the video this week. Hope to see more. Ok until next time. Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii.

    My Refleks-heater used to do that, turned out the regulator overflowed into the burnchamber instead back into the daytank... almost went in orbit. I have a better regulator now with overflow not leading into the burnpot. Much better

    Winter in the PNW gets nasty. Spent 5 years there and 1-1/2 of that on the coast. Never experienced wind like that and I’m from the South. Those low pressure systems look and feel like hurricanes and I’m not sure why they don’t call them that.

    Did you slow the fire down once it was going properly ? Or was it just going 'flat out' ? ( You slow it down by partially closing the air intake...)

    Nice cable, please make sure the terminal ends are rated to the cable. 200A cable, 200A terminal ends, don’t get a common 100A end.

    Start planning for 24 or even 48 volt DC if you really want to add capacity to your electrical system. Even 4/0 gets limiting when you start running multiple appliances. It's not just a heat issue, the voltage drop starts eating into your capacity too.

    • @Wakeywhodat

      Came to say this.

  • @1sheinz
    @1sheinz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It would be wiser to be running a 24-preferably 48 Volt system if your planning for high wattage usage. The price decrease in copper wire size and cheaper inverted will be substantial ,. Server rack 48Volt batteries are much cheaper than Renagy 12 volt batteries as well. Likely still cheaper than the discount given by Renagy, the inverters are cheaper for 48Volt volt as well as that voltage is designed for off grid homes not the RV market which is sold as a premium service. I LOVE the fact that your getting a large and well equipped system for the boat to show off to everyone the capability of new technology and battery chemistry. CHEERS AND FAIR WINDS Steve h.

    Sailing Temptress with Emily & Clark’s Adventures has the best advice about WIRE, BEST GREASE for marine electronics & soldering, etc. ESPECIALLY good 12v AC where no generator is needed, etc.

    @Squirrel... "shielded wire" is the name you're looking for, and remember to ground only one end of the shielding. If you ground both ends, the shield becomes an antenna.

    Great idea to use MARINE Quality LARGEST COOPER wire possible…. Lowest AWG possible considering bendability etc.. Good luck!

      @@SailingMissLoneStar fyi, that buzzing is called "coil whine". In a nutshell, it's caused by certain little parts vibrating as current passes through them.
