It was interesting to see the difference in technique, for sure. I personally never teach it as hitting a "sweet spot" as there are many/endless places on the string where you can get a pinch harmonic (same as natural harmonics being all over, and not just 5-7-12 etc.), so I always urge people to run their picking hand back and forth while they try to find out where they are - it will be different notes too of course, depending on the placement. You could essentially hold you fretting hand in one position and still pinch harmonic the notes C-E-G for a a Cmajor arpeggio. It's a fun exercise 😅

Love Justin's playing! He does an ascending Legato run with a bend at the end on the Kiesel A2 video with Scott Carstairs and it's absolutely brilliant! Been trying to learn it for weeks 😂
I find that the lower strings are easier to get pinch harmonics on if you pick them closer to the fretboard and the higher strings you just progressively move back
Guitarist with a predisposition for trem wankery are just built different. I think it would be an discussion to dissect the approach to lead guitar playing / solos of players who exclusively use trems vs ones that don't. My first guitar had a Floyd as well as my most recent one, and while they're definitely fun to mess around with, I feel like I don't have the brain to actually use it in a proper musical application, so guys like Allan Holdsworth, Mattias Eklundh, Scott Carstairs and of course Justin just to name a few really boggle my mind

Be kind to yourself, you’re the only one around you that can do that consistently. Try to find something to be proud of at the end of the day, big or small. When I was at my lowest “hey I showered” was good enough. Let yourself feel good about small successes and try to be present. The past already happened but you can be good to your future self.
