very cool to see all those armies and especially the people connected to it, i would love to see battle reports of players which have been introduced. For future endeavours you could experiment with a small pre-battle 'tactics interview', and a post-battle analysis with the involved players. I think you've got a lot of potential for a very original cool new type of battle reports content; instead of seeing the same people play eachother over and over but with different armies, you could actually introduce new players every time. Just like in sports, it's the connection to the people that make a sport SO MUCH more fun to watch - it's the subjective sauce that makes you root for someone and care for more than just the rules and the game itself
I absolutely LOVE the b-roll footage of the armies. Incredible to see your platform showcase the love and hard work people put into these armies. I’m also super looking forward to seeing the batreps. Thank you for the hard work you put in!
Always a pleasure Rob! We’ll find that ogre ceiling soon 😂 funny how the things David liked in Ogres I then complained about! Dawid’s brets are stunning, got my vote for best painted.
Love the video Rob! My one suggestion would be I would love to see some more footage or photos of the games being played. The army on parade photos and handy cam footage are great, but what would be even better are some shots of the game where that Stonehorn is duelling Archaon!
Great episode and well done to the Dwellers’ Woodies! Having just got smashed to bits playing Woodies at the Hampshire GT last weekend - they can be an unforgiving bunch if used non-expertly! 😂 can’t wait to see the recorded games to learn a thing or two! 🎉
I LOVE that goblin army. Spent the weekend working on my Warriors army; warriors, chosen, knights, ogres, and heroes are mostly built. Still working on marauders, dogs, and converting a hellcannon. At some point I’m going to need an army list of my smallest, least fragile models to fly to the UK for games.
Excellent coverage as always! Watching for a second time to see all the armies because I just listened first time around Great to see some Ogre coverage too
I'd like to see you discuss ludonarrative dissonance in competitive Warhammer. You might have Louise and Peachy snickering, but it's a good topic! We know you can build fluffy armies in the Old World, but which armies support building narratively appropriate lists at a competitive level? If the fluff of the army is that the army uses massive hordes of infantry but the units are crap in the game, there's a problem. On the other hand, that wood elf army in this video seemed narratively appropriate even if it's spamming minimum units as it's something you'd expect the woodies to do.
Yeah, WE and Brets surprisingly seem to have the units you'd consider to be narratively abundant also be strong. WE's lose points a little for half the army just being two characters, and Brets are similar for relying so heavily on pegasus knights. However, units like glade guard and Knights of the realm are competitive AND narratively fit. The unit that should be fielded multiple times is worth fielding.
That wood elf list was eerily similar to the scariness of Wood Elves in 8th. Sneaking around whipping arrows all over in MSU. Just cant lock anything down and you just spin around rattling your dumb helmet and plate armor like a confused trashcan. Super awesome list, thank you for sharing!
Love my Wood Elves. Won a lot of tournaments with them back when i used to play in 6th and 7th editions. I assume they are still a finesse army though i haven't tried ToW or bought the books yet. Definitely gonna dust off my old armies and get the battle ready.
Its great to hear about events when I'm not able to attend, please keep posting. Looking forward to watching some of the games and one day I will attend (I'm in Southampton!)
Hey Rob, great content! I would love to see photos of all the armies in more detail. That might be untenable but I know others would enjoy seeing some decent photos of these awesome armies at your events.
I ran a similar play style list back in 7th/8th for Woodies, it definitely can work I just got bored after a while and didn’t have motivation to repair the army after it suffered some abuse from traveling. I definitely agree with some of the comments about wanting to see more infantry in the game, I know people had some legit gripes with 8th but at least infantry units of respectable size were playable. Losing step up, supporting attacks, steadfast, etc. makes most infantry feel pretty anemic.
It makes me laugh when I hear people whine about the Dawi airforce (now Expeditinary force since the journal came out) but no complaints vs multiple dragons and especially Wood Elves, the original avoidance/shooty list. Bravo to the winner!
Event footage like this talking to the players and showing their armies is the best thing about Warhammer. Really puts the heart of the game/hobby at the front: having fun with cool armies.
Really looking to get into the Old World. I haven't played Warhammer fantasy in over 13-14 years. I didn't even know fantasy was discontinued. Wood Elves were always a good finesse army if played right. I took my Wood Elves to Gamesday in Baltimore in either 2005 or 2006 and took 1st place with them.
I think could be amazing make videos about rules or situations not easy to understand during game! For example as you said multi charge, or terrain, or simply rules hard to understand!! Anyway good job once again!!😀
Not sure if it would be possible, but if examples of basic game mechanics could be clipped/edited from the Livestreams and turned into YT shorts that might be useful to the community. Something like "Here's a charge with a wheel". Or "here's an example of falling back in good order".
@@acejustice1 play against me whatever you want. Im ready to drink your tears. Via Warhall. I'm from Argentina, they call me "the Messi" of this easy game ;) Another one bites the dust...
Dwellers Below represent! Thanks for an awesome event Rob. Love the interview/analysis content!

Dragons are losing to bows and magic: can you please tell us about your list? I took a dragon....
Yeah... total clickbait
00:24 - damn that is a sweet paint job on those knights!
Inspiring for sure, I'll have to try it out on my grail knight (when they eventually materialize 😅)
This isn't the dwellers crossover I was expecting
all the old school aussie players coming out great to see you guys on here. glad u guys are having fun, Gooley

Thank you for making content about the Old World, it is such a helpful motivation to keep working on my dwarfs 🤜🤛
Those bretonnians in the long grass bases are beautiful. Love these vids Rob!

Love these! Like the interviews, and looking at gorgeous models, more army lists too, please
I love this series so much! And great to see the wood elves doing good
Thanks for those great impressions! We are looking forward for the battle reports and more stuff like this! ❤
Loved hearing about the event and interviews from the players, would definitely love to hear more from future ones 😀
Great recap! Loved the closeups of the armies and players' interviews!

Love all the event footage especially the army features and player interviews! Happy to see Old World going strong over there!

Iv started to really look forward to these TSN event updates. Lots of footage of the armies involved which is so inspiring.
Great event report! Look forward to seeing how you edit the battle reports.
Great to see Wood Elves winning 😁 is there anywhere a battle report out there to see how David performed with this army list?
Wow what a event so many great looking armys and nice people. good job all.
Gorgeous armies all round!

Val's "ban" on Dark Elves certainly proving effective lol
I love videos like this and really appreciate the shots of people’s armies

Jack! Good to see him back on ogres! Great event recap Rob.
Love this kind of content
🎉Loved this episode, I would like more army lists and discussion of how different builds did, great attitudes

Super grateful to have got most sporting this weekend. I brought two dragons aswell!
Interesting round robin chat about goats by the way.
Always nice to get these nuggets of info from the players themselves

Loving these short videos, looks like a lot of fun
What did the Nurgle-player proxy the Horticulus Slimux as, a Beast? I would love to do something similar in my army. 😃
Daemon prince!
@@jackcrop Awesome! Thanks 👍
S-Tier video format - illustrative but punchy. Great work @Rob!

Cannibal Corpse fan playing Wood Elves? Now that's pod racing!
Aww hell yeah! This is so great to see on a sunday night! thanks ROB!
THIS this is the Content! LOVE IT - thanks for your work man! :-)
Hey Rob, are these games going to be uploaded soon? And to which channel/twitch will they be uploaded to?
Amazing Spider Army!!!!... would be possible to share the list?
Would be interesting and fun try to play with.
Greetings from Mexico!

Talking about that skaven gunline was such a tease! Is there an army list/ pictures of the army about?
Great job. More event and games coverage please!
Love these tourney reporsts. Please do this for any other game events you run like AoS as well.
Agreed 👍
Great video. When are you planning to put up the wood elf battle report? Would love to see that! Thank you
those armies look incredible
great video! any chance to get to watch the recorded battles, especially the wood elves ones?
Never seen gaming tables with chairs. Over here everyone is expected to stand.
It’s next level!
Fantastic armies on display here.
This is amazing news!!
Great! Yes please! More and more ⚒️🎲🎲🐉
Very well done
Does somebody know the channel of the guy playing Ogres? Thanks!
Great content Rob :)
These reports are great. Keep them coming.
Yes! Please keep doing this
Great video 👌

That Bretonnian army looked lovely.
more interviews and army photos!
Youd be suprised how far people can come using their wood (elves)!
You had every faction covered, from nerdy chubby blokes all the way through to nerdy chubby blokes with beards.
Where did you get the neoprene terrain mats (not the full size table ones)
Great video, would like to see more army lists and 😊

More like dragons are losing to dragons with bows and dragons with magic
Where can I find out in advance about your events? Sounds like I need to bring Dark Elves
DAVID DURIE SMITH THE LEGEND. AUSTRALIA STILL TAKING NAMES
when will the battle reports be live?
@square based Rob. Do you know the TO for LVO 2025? I have my ticket but would like some info on the player pack, etc. Thanks.
I don't!! I'll ask
@@SquareBasedOldWorld thank you.
Fantastic
You’re a handsome man Rob, but more army pics please, I love em x
Very nice
Rob, you are square based.
This is the most goblin / gloomspite player you can be :)
Hype! 🎉
Man Id hate to play that Wood Elf army... hats of for the list building but that doesnt look like fun at all.
Can confirm, it is quite fun (or at least mentally challenging and rewarding) to play, but not very fun to play against for most people.
Square Based is better with Mr Applebsum esq. Need to pay him to come to every TSN Arena comp.
❤
no rob pls don't make wood elves MORE popular lmao
😎😎
I'm the best Wood Elves player. I play a very similar list, and I'm tired of winning xD

@@stonem0013 better than dat
@gustavgrime Oh...why didn't you enter and win that tournament then?

How did the Wood Elves win? Cheating of course! Never trust an elf! 🧝♀️
