Ever seen a croc under water? I’d be shitting myself diving in that creek.
Hey mate. I haven’t spotted one underwater yet. The areas I dive are not known for regular Croc activity but I’m sure they are there from time to time.

Great footage mate! I’m jealous of the inshore vis you guys get down in Mackay. That bigger Barra looked like it’d recently come out of the fresh, did you weigh it?
We get lucky sometimes in those smaller tides. That Barra was darker but not like the yellow kind of colour you get in the fresh water fish here. It was around 18kg from memory and delicious 🤤
Hi sir what was the gun ,band and shaft size you were using for barra.
Hey mate, the first Barra was a 900 Rob Allen Sparid that I have changed the muzzle over over to an open muzzle. Upgraded the shaft to a 7.5mm and running double 16mm rubbers, this is my go to Barra Gun. It’s got a Rob Allen reel on it as well. I bent the shaft on the First Barra though. The second Barra in the vid was on a 1200 Rob Allen Tuna. Twin 16mm Bands 7.5mm shaft.

There is crocs regularly sighted in the bigger systems north and south of Mackay. Not so much closer to town but they are definitely around.
Any word on teaching spear fishing mate? My young fella is keen, been taking him out to round top and St bee's snorkelling.

Hey Kel, in the new year there should be some movement on this. The Mackay spearfishing club will hopefully be running pool training sessions in the new year. As well as this there is likely going to be a Beginner freedive/spearfishing course.
