@@ExhaleAdventures thank you. I know I’m asking a lot of you. But I think this video series in this format will be basically a tutorial for people like myself wanting to give a big project a go. I have been planning a 6m rebuild for about 7 years. I have picked up tips around fb rebuild groups, but seeing the process in detail on your videos is in a completely different category for learning. So a big thanks for taking the time.
Yeah I recon mate, It definitely got fumey inside the shed still. I think a couple of those fans ideally. But outside it really did wet it all down, had white water dribbling out of the box 👌🏻
Congratulations man! Just finished my gut and grind on a 19 fiberform in Hawaii. Would love to know how much resin and glass you used. Was also wondering if you got a before and after weight. Love the strong layup!
Thanks very much mate. How goods the grind out haha. From memory I think I used about 240ish kg of resin, two rolls of 450chop and 1 and a bit rolls of 600db. I’ll do a full break down in the 4th vid though of all that sort of stuff.
Round and rectangle Orbital and hand sanding mainly mate. I did have an pneumatic sander but mainly used the big longboard mate for the flat stuff. Anything curved was by hand
Fairing is pretty soft mate. I would be tapering the edges of the scratch and filling with some fresh gelcoat and sand it flat again. There is a heap of vids on YT with some good tips on it 🍻
Mate this has been really cool to watch, learning heaps, cheers for sharing the journey! Dive safe, have fun! 👍👌
Thanks for always checking my content out mate. Really appreciate it 🍻
Can you please explain the fairing compound and the fairing process a bit more in the next video 👍🏻
Yeah mate, it will be covered in the next one for sure 👌🏻

Another episode that’s really informative and at a crucial time for me. Love hearing about the tools you use right down to fittings and grit etc
Thanks very much mate 🍻
Nice work, look forward to seeing the finished product.
Thanks mate, I’m really looking forward to putting the last vid together!
Can you add a little padding to the roof bars? From the camera angle it looks like you could hit your head on a good wave
My mate (tall) gets close to the bottom of the rod holders, the rest of the canopy there is plenty of clearance. Especially once your under it 🍻
awesome. the tortures of being tall! @@ExhaleAdventures
excellent build mate ! epic
Thanks very much mate 🍻
Awesome content as usual 👌
Thanks very much mate 🍻
Awesome mate, great job.
Thanks heaps man 🍻
How good 👍 did the wet box do the trick? I like that idea

Nice work mate - very helpful video . what fairing compound are you using ? And what type of resin ? Killer boat
Hey mate, just polyester resin. Fairing compound was gelcoat with some wax and Q-cell mate. I’ll talk a bit more about that stuff in the next vid 🍻
Awesome build buddy, what material did you use for the hatch strengthening
Thanks very much mate. That was just lengths of pvc conduit cut in half haha.
Electric sanding all done using the orbital? No powerfile?

@@ExhaleAdventures yeah the flat stuff tip was great. Cheers mate 👍🏻
