She looks, sounds, and moves great in live action. I was a little worried about pulling this character off - the effects required to get a realistic look are really not trivial, but they did it. We live in a world where Ahsoka Tano can show up in live action Star Wars now. Next, we need her in a movie!
a major movie would never happen. she isnt a main character in the star wars universe. Lucasfilm/Disney would never see their roi from a major box-office movie based on this character alone. the series for Disney+ looks very promising though. cant wait.
This is how a female character is done right. Ahsoka grew up in an era where Jedi where at the height of power and she benefitted from many good teachers like Yoda, Mace Windu Obi-wan and Anakin. She fought in the Clone Wars against many tough sith at a young age. She's paid her dues and deserves to have her story told as the main protagonist in the true "Last Jedi" of that era.
Ikr, we dont need forced narratives shoved down our throats. Just create an actual female character that has been naturally developed instead of all that shit in the new trilogy.
This is how you make powerful female characters. Put them through a proper story arc not give them all the best abilities in the world without any struggle or trials. You can be the most gifted force user in the galaxy but it means nothing if you haven’t mastered the art of controlling yourself and your abilities.

We all knew she was "real" but seeing her in a form where she could easily fit into the feature films really cements her as a on par with everyone else. I hope they have Maul on the show to "prove" he really did survive his dual with Obi Wan in TPM. Edit: Apparently he was briefly in Solo, so I guess it's something. :p
yea Rey was too weak in characterization and emotion. they built up Ahsoka very well in clone wars in a cheap way and they get free movie stories or series about her adult life. They should ve used ahsoka in new trio but disney mess up so hard with the origin story.
I believe she kept turning the lightsabers on and off not because of the stealth, but because each second they are on the budget of the show is being drained
Pretty sure the budget of every Disney+ original shows (like this one) are the same as movie budget, so even if the lightsaber effects is expensive, it should not be a big problem for them.

I was really worried about someone playing Ahsoka and not doing her justice but Rosario has captured Ahsoka's essence and the spirit of her character well she has taken her maturity of her years of experience as a Jedi so well , hopefully in the next season we see some of Ahsoka's mischievous sense of humor come to light I'm not sure any of us expected this character to be so amazing and find her way into our hearts so quickly, but she has been such an amazingly well written character also special thanks has to go to not only the creators of the character, but also Ashley Eckstein for bringing a voice and so much personality to Ahsoka Ashley really brought Ahsoka to life in the animated series and set the bar for her, Now Rosario is bringing Ahsoka real life and doing it with style and finesse and personality I can't wait to see what comes next , I would be sorely disappointed if she doesn't get her own series as well as appear in a big screen movie, there is so much more of her story yet to be told.

If they got whoever wrote and directed this show to do the full cinematic movies they’d be pure gold. I don’t know who developed and produced this show, but they completely understand what the magic is in the Star Wars universe and how to bring it to life on screen.
Favreau and Filoni make an excellent creative duo, their work has given us some of the best Star Wars content that exists. It’s just a shame that they didn’t also get them to plan out and make the sequel trilogy,.
I've been a fan of Ahsoka since the very first time she was even mentioned by name (George did in an interview before anything was seen) I was a fan because in the interview he said she was the same species as Shaak-Ti, and I LOVE Shaak-Ti :-) Any how, it was true pleasure watching her grow up throughout that amazing series, and now, seeing her portrayed in live action by an actress I've always admired...total dream come true.
I don’t think there’s an actress out there who can pull of Ahsoka the way Rosario does. Especially at this age as Ahsoka is basically the same age (Early 40’s) as Rosario here. Even, her mannerisms, eyes and facial features seem to match the character to a T.
They did such a good job with her duel with the magistrate. Short bursts of clashes and retreating, taking the moments between to size each other up. Neither wanting to commit fully until they see an opening in their opponent.

Holy S, as a casual Star wars fan, watching her first time here and then in ongoing series has blown me away. She is my new favorite character. I had only heard and seen her cartoon character casually since childhood and am glad we finally get to see her full potential on live action. ❤❤
The great thing about Ashoka as a female character is that she is very capable, but still graceful. I know it's greatly due to her Jedi training, but I would like to see more female characters written this way. One also has to appreciate that instead of coming across as instantly powerful the way so many female characters are these days, every bit of her abilities were earned. Just like with Luke!

The mere fact she is asking for Thrawn, after all of this perfect build up within that episode, totally left me in awe after. So we have more tie-in with the original sequel books from the early 90s era where Thrawn outplays the original heroes because of his tactical excellency. Anyone else hoping for merge of Boba, Mando and Ahsoka to liberate Mandalore and kick Thrawn's ass? I certainly am.

The fight between Ahsoka and the Magistrate is quietly brilliant in a "Daemon Targaryan takes on the entire Crabfeeder army by himself" kind of way....no words, but so much is said during the fight.
I had to revisit this after the trailer was released for her own show. They have the PERFECT actress for this part!!! I can't think of anyone else at this point. She IS Ashoka Tano.
She's a true warrior. That's why she refused to join the Jedi council, because she didn't want to be restricted by their rules. Remember she told Vader, " I am no Jedi ", because she wanted revenge for Anakin.
Asohka Tano’s character was done so well in this show, but the video is cut together so poorly, overlooking the speed and rhythm in which many of Asohka’s scenes were shot in The Mandalorian.
I would have hoped that given she was Clone Wars first that Ashley would do the voice ans Rosario the body. Ala Darth Vader and Maul but this was good enough for me and Ashley gave her approval.
Its a lot more difficult than vader vader has a mask so you dont have to match any lips its fairly easy to add the voice to vader ahsoka is a live person its extremely hard to match another's person's voice with someone else's lips

It's a compromise bringing her to live action. Her lekku were done with practical effects. That means they feel more real to the viewer but they also present challenges with construction. The longer they are the stronger they have to be in order to handle the acrobatic fights of the actress. The anchoring point on the actress' head has to be beefed up causing more issues. I'm sure they tried some tests with CGI extended lekku but found them undesirable.. So I'm willing to give them a pass for it.

You can make good looking lightsaber effects with a ten year old laptop as a layman. These are a bit fancier yes but it´s not that expensive.
