I like your commentary on the mods. Some of these are really powerful, and since you have a decent sized audience of regular viewers, it’s a good way to give a look into or a precursor to what some mods offer. Anyways, another amazing video as always!
Oh this is going to be a great series! Love using this both for build ideas and for reviews of the many, many class mods and tweaks that are out there.
Yes! Blood Sorcerer Mod! That is my most favorite mod ever. Remind me of OS2 Blood Mage build so much. Which almost all of the skills are the same from OS2. I really love this mod. If only, we could get another theme build for Blood Sorcerer from you again. Maybe later, who knows haha~ Thank you for this build! It looks so cool!
I’ll definitely be trying this as a vampire dark urge, probably gonna use the dread overlord warlock though just for the undead, necrotic damage and pact of the blade gets necrotic and vampirism buffs
I'm just playing a Halloween party, I was going for Astarion 6 Fiend Warlock and 6 Shadow Monk but I'm going to change my plans and steal this build for the Astarion Ascended ty !!
reason why ignoring necrotic immunity is bad is not just because it's too op, but it has an unintended interaction when using aoe blood spells that harm you for each target. basically if there are any objects and props (which normally are immune to necrotic) in the aoe, you will take damage for each object you hit.
While yes the damage is insane, if you play with honor mode ruleset and tactician level enemies, or if this is a solo person who goes off alone and leaves an entire area devestated, it's honestly pretty cool. The removing immunity to necrotic is actually perfect for multiclassing. A level 1 dip into sorcerer gives any class that would use necrotic damage mainly (say Dread Overlord) the ability to just do normal damage to anything in Act 2 without being completely negated because they wanted to use the spooky damage type while not making Necrotic damage do more, it just ignores the immunity. The early level spells being overtuned does mean they'll be used throughout the game and not fall off too hard in the later game like other spells in base game. Who uses Witchbolt given the opportunity to use fireball or other lightning spells. Considering you're using the vampire origin who's VULNERABLE TO FIRE AND RADIANT, its definitely a tradeoff that i like to have. The vampire does get resistance to most physical stuff but being a squishy caster actually makes the damage resistance and vulnerability a pretty fair tradeoff. And this is what modding should be. Fun. Warlock Eldritch Blast spam and Monk punching doing 7 attacks in a turn were the most popular playstyles because it was just fun, eldritch blast was a free powerful attack that can annihilate health bars and knock enemies away. Is any of the blood sorcerer abilities stronger than what an eldeitch blast spammer swords bard or a tavern brawler monk could do? Console players have a cheat ring that lets us have infinite long rest, and infinite spammy spells that can instakill literally everything and turn people to gold and stone. If im gonna play a certain build im not too worried if some aspects could be OP because had so long with vanilla stuff and i could just not use the op stuff. Or i could use it on a rat because funny. Using the cheat ring fireball and dying because the radius is so big is never not funny. Its op as hell but funny.
Would you ever consider covering the Aberrant Sorcerer mod? It seems like the perfect subclass for a Tav MC, as being infected with a mind flayer tadpole is the main point of BG3s story and being a sorcerer of psionic power because of the parasite seems perfect
Hi absolutely LOVED this video and would like to take inspiration with this and use it for my next Astarion Playthrough, how were you able to change Astarion's class/make him into a full vampire? was there a specific mod that you used?
For this kind of build I'd also be curious to see what it would look like if you did the twin spell metamagic + gemini gloves exploit with the blood sorcerer cantrips or toll the dead. In theory it would hit multiple enemies or an AOE, so getting big blood puddles from groups of people or toll the dead on multiple enemies would be great as well
Question Hobo: Is there a reason you're not saying these are modded in the title? Is that what you're going to do for mods that exist on console from now on? Either way, keep up the good work!
If it's content that everyone can use, then I don't feel the need to specify if it's modded in the title. I'll always make it clear in the description though.
@@HoboZone I have a feeling my first comment got blocked for linking to my mod page. Woops. I have made a lot. 10 different mods so far: 3 Origin Classes (unique classes based on the stories of origin characters, one for Shadowheart, Gale, and Karlach so far. Working on Wyll's today). 3 subclass rework/rebalances making the Four Elements Monk, Valor Bard, and Champion fighters much better and more fun to play. Ive also made a spell rebalance mod that rebalances spells from every level in the game. I made an extra attack mod for offhand attacks if you have the two weapon fighting style which is quite fun. And my spiciest mod is a rework of the initiative system for players: Initiative with this mod now = 1d6 + 1/3rd of your Dex mod + full Int mod. No more can parties run around dumb as a box of rocks.
@@HoboZone I think so! I think the ones you would be most interested in are the origin classes, the reworked feats mod which i forgot to mention a minute ago, and maybe the champion and monk mods 👍🏻 i have no way to link them without getting the comment blocked though lol
Has there been a build that does something cool with Archfay and a martial yet? Maybe combing Misty Escape with lots of Misty Step gear/spells and greater invisibility would be cool. Kinda mirroring the new 2024 version.
The Chaos Warrior was Archfey and Barbarian The Drizz't inspired build mixed Archfey, Ranger and Barbarian The Black Rider was Archfey and Rogue Devola was Archfey/OH-Monk.
@@senittoaoflightning4404 Thank you so much. Gonna go over all of them; gonna try to make Nightcrawler kinda. Or at the very least a very misty vampire
Bloodflame Astarion is something I didn't realize that I need

Happy Halloween everyone! 🦇
I've been thinking of doing something for a solo modded run and ive been playing dracula a lot in dbd so this is perfect

With that particular warlock both tome and chain are MUCH stronger than blade, oddly enough.

Love the Halloween themed build ! Are you going to do one for every companion including Halsin Minthara etc or just keep to the "base" companions ?
Just the origins
Next build Halloween idea : mummy minthara & creatures of the swamp laezel”frog”
I was thinking a green durge was more creature from the black lagoon and Laezel was a mummy

when it comes to console, absolutely!
I'm doing a Blood Sorcerer/Dread Lord Warlock Vampire
Another option for tuning the subclass, increase the damage taken or base the damage taken on the damage done

It’s weird Astarion looks good in the cloth of authority but my tav doesn’t. I wonder if he has a unique body type?
Crimson blast is just a necrotic lvl 5 fireball, WHAT IS THIS MOD

Probably just sorcerer
