Looks hideous to me, why can't any car maker just make an ev that looks like a Honda Accord. Id buy it in a heartbeat. The traditional sedan is still the best looking vehicle, the futuristic designs look stupid.

True.. there are a ton of elements out of place! Not a designer, however, I know design and it isn't "flowing." The Ciel and Sixteen concepts are timeless designs Cadillac should have utilized with an electric powetplant..
I really think that the electric Cadillac is very nice, but the new electric Tesla truck is super cool it's made of steel an it has Elno glass proof windows and has a pull out 🛏️ bed in the back.
Especially with so many brands copying them and switching to thin vertically integrated DRLs and taillights. It’s nice to see them continue their signature and witness how Cadillac’s styling evolves to remain unique.
I really like how Cadillac implemented some of its design heritage: like the nice big C-pillar, iconic vertical tail lights, and the 2-spoke chromed steering wheel. (The vertical headlight kinda remind me of the stacked headlights that were a craze is the 60s) It's beautiful and elegant, although out of most buyers' price point xD I hope Cadillac encourages future auto makers to add some classical stylistic cues rather than just creating that generic "futuristic" look.
It's nice to see Cadillac try to regain his true Roots as the makers of the world's finest automobiles. I've always thought Cadillac should have had a model to compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. This would be sort of an entry level Elite luxury vehicle. If I could afford any car I wanted, this will be on my list. I'd rather have this than any other luxury electric vehicle.
It's good that they have an ambition to compete with Rolls or Bentley, but c'mon, putting LEDs and brushed aluminum pieces on a car that at it's best can compete with Audi doesn't bring you to that level. And if someone even pays 300k for that, 2 years later it will be worth 100k at most. Why don't they stick with distinctive design ideas from 50s - 70s and make it modern to look like a proper Cadillac. Their designs from 2000s onwards are jumping all over the place and none of the cars look like true Cadillacs from the era they were most glorious and recognized throughout the world.

I had an Eldorado convertible in 1975 to go to college. It had the largest production engine in an American car and got eight mpg. With gas around 25 cents a gallon I could afford plenty back then. Loved Cadillacs innovations back then and still enjoy their leadership in technology among American vehicles. Way to go with this electric car.

Damn that is a pretty car. Almost as nice as my dad's 1975 Seville...that was a work of art that car. Remember what my dad told me Cadillacs are cars for Kings. Road to church on my wedding day in that beautiful car. I once borrowed that car and drove down route 422 doing 120 mph listening to Zeppelin....got grounded for a month....was so worth it!

Just bought an XT5 and love it, the fit and finish are amazing compared to what I experienced from Cadillac a decade ago. This looks amazing, so excited to see the return of these big sedans!!!
I love these big sedans. They are so spacious, comfortable and opulent. I don’t know why car manufacturers are trying to phase them out. We like these cars, we just need better technology. You have so much space in these large sedans that you can put large battery packs and a tank of gas, so a plug-in hybrid with AWD would be amazing. If they could give us a sedan with 100 miles EV range and 400 miles on gas, this would be a game changer!

This car falls short of being truly beautiful. Yes, it's modern...and cool...and daring...and perhaps exquisitely crafted but it will never be the classic beauty that the 1967 Eldorado is, for example. The Lyriq however, is a gorgeous SUV...so there is hope for more beautiful cars from Cadillac.
Very futuristic and luxurious. The rear lighting has 68 ELDO elements, the hatch has elements from the Escala, the goddess, the customization, the unapologetic Cadillac aesthetic, electrification, and presence , I'll take mine in Sand metallic and chocolate leather.

2 vehicles being built per day? The public shunes the idea of companies not producing hundreds of vehicles per day, but ok its luxury. I hate to say, but the aluminum strip and vertical lights in the front remind me of Lucid Air's engineering. Also, didn't see the fronk but looks like the trunk is lacking in space. The interior is nice, but again, the glass roof is Lucid esq. I wonder what the performance details bring. A vehicle costing $300k, the charging, range and horsepower has to top anything on the market to validate the price. We'll see how they do! Good luck Cadillac!
The Escalade, CT5, and Lyriq are great but Cadillac has officially separated themselves from the rest of the automotive industry with their debut of the _Celestiq._ 🔥
We’ll see how the dealerships deliver on 1%er service. Cadillac will probably make them pass certain training and make certain investments before they’re even allowed to sell this car. That’s what they’re doing with EVs.
The car is only half of it. Certified Cadillac dealerships will also need to provide much greater service. Service on par with Bentley, Maybach, and RR. THAT will demand a huge commitment, great investment, a steep learning curve, and, frankly, new personnel.
Very interesting and unique design. Is it worth $300k? Can't say for sure but Cadillac has definitely put something different into the marketplace. And for that reason, I'm sure the first few are already spoken for.

XT5 owner here too! Prior I had a 2011 CTS and it’s like night and day improvement.

Very futuristic and luxurious. The rear lighting has 68 ELDO elements, the hatch has elements from the Escala, the goddess, the customization, the unapologetic Cadillac aesthetic, electrification, and presence , I'll take mine in Sand metallic and chocolate leather.

2 vehicles being built per day? The public shunes the idea of companies not producing hundreds of vehicles per day, but ok its luxury. I hate to say, but the aluminum strip and vertical lights in the front remind me of Lucid Air's engineering. Also, didn't see the fronk but looks like the trunk is lacking in space. The interior is nice, but again, the glass roof is Lucid esq. I wonder what the performance details bring. A vehicle costing $300k, the charging, range and horsepower has to top anything on the market to validate the price. We'll see how they do! Good luck Cadillac!

We’ll see how the dealerships deliver on 1%er service. Cadillac will probably make them pass certain training and make certain investments before they’re even allowed to sell this car. That’s what they’re doing with EVs.

Right now CADILLAC wishes they had 10% of Rolls Royce looks , quality and prestige.
The car is only half of it. Certified Cadillac dealerships will also need to provide much greater service. Service on par with Bentley, Maybach, and RR. THAT will demand a huge commitment, great investment, a steep learning curve, and, frankly, new personnel.

Very interesting and unique design. Is it worth $300k? Can't say for sure but Cadillac has definitely put something different into the marketplace. And for that reason, I'm sure the first few are already spoken for.
