You missed the best bakery in Onrus and also in the whole of the Overberg. It's BROOD bakery in Molteno Rd, same road as Molteno's restaurant. Best breads of all kinds, made from only sourdough. The Vermont, Onrus, Sandbaai (VOS) cliff path is 9km, with only the Onrus beach that breaks the path before you get to the Sandbaai area😊
Keep doing what you're doing. You are a lovely and very real, down to earth couple. I share your videos with my friends abroad to show them our beautiful country 🤗@MidlifeTravelTales
Nothing like a South African coastal town in December! Even though I went to school in Hermanus, I'm not that familiar with Onrus. This video increased my understanding and knowledge of the area. Thanks for posting this!
I live in Cape Town, and I always say that there is so much in South Africa that we have not seen. When i Have the opportunity, I would first explore our country before thinking of going overseas. Thanks for the info on some of the hidden gems in our beautiful country.
Perhaps named Onrus because the natives were getting restless. There was once a Minister of Finance, Barend du Plessis, with no financial education. The media called it onrusbarend 😄.
Onrus is actually called Onrus River and it is named after the river that flows into the sea here. If you can steer clear of some of the local ‘tannies’ that just love complaining, you will have a rustige time😀
What places did we miss out in Onrus?
Moltenos restaurant great hang out place for the locals.
