I’m surprised that they didn’t mention the fact that you can remove sections of it and make it more compact (but slightly louder). That’s why it has those lines going around it.
This is a God sent, I have freedomnitus and my 👂 ring constantly due to a car accident at work now maybe I can shoot without the headache for the next two days 😊. Yea time for suppressor freedom ......
Interesting . Many Shotguns have a slightly rough ring in the bore near the muzzle to help induce wad separation. How is this can effected by that ring?
KSG shotguns have an externally threaded barrel. This suppressor will go on it. The Origin 12 too. The Mossberg 590 series shotgun barrels are beefy. They can be thread with the same thread by a competent smith. Ask me how I know. Had a 590M a 590M Shockwave and a standard Shockwave all threaded. That Shockwave with one section removed is 37 inches long. You have now entered No Country for Old Men territory. Light balanced and highly maneuverable. You cannot shoot shorty shells through the Salvo as shorty shotgun shells have no wad.
Could you run some subsonic ammo in it? Suppressors increase back pressure, so maybe the pressure would increase reliability with small loads in semi autos? Definitely interesting either way though.
@@niijilion13 not sure they exist but I mean handloading is always a thing I mean at the very least it would be a fun little side project putting a buckshot pattern downrange damn near silently
There is actually one model of revolver (I forgot the name) where the cylinder moves forward as you pull the trigger, creating a seal with the barrel which allows a suppressor to actually work with it.
I found a manufacturer selling subsonic finally and got a few cases. My 1301 tactical cycles it 20% of the time and I'm not sure if I want to buy another pump shotgun in 18" and get it threaded just to cycle those so I'm just going to stick to 1,145 ammo as it's pretty quiet already
What place of logic did you get that conclusion from? The average 12 ga shell just barely breaks the sound barrier so it would baffling for a bullet that’s nearly subsonic to be "loud as shit".
because it's a fucking hollywood movie? unless you're shooting 22 subs or something, basically anything you're shooting is still gonna be "loud as shit"
@@HGRAP1 lol ok since we’re going that route I’ll say this, pitch/frequency plays a huge role in your ears perception of loud. A jackhammer pitch is typically under 40 while a gunshot could range from 80-2500hz. That’s a huge difference in pitch already befor factoring in that the suppressor will change it as well. That’s why suppressor developers often chase designs that offer certain pitches/hz because you can have two objects that are indistinguishable in db but because they’re different in hz and the ear will distinguish one sound as more pleasurable than the other and accept it as being quieter
Girls. Girls. It works. Subsonic or supersonic it is markedly quieter. Reduces recoil. Is able to be shortened with rod kits. Of course this makes it louder the more you shorten it. It’s basically hollow and does not weigh as much as it appears.

THERE ARE SHOTGUN SILENCERS! How did I not know that?
That's been out for YEARS!
Can it be adapted to barrels without a choke?
The KSG for example has an externally threaded barrel.

I wonder if that will fit the old faithful Remington 870 12 gage
Definitely will
That thing is likened to the brick cell phone when it came out.

It’s basically hollow. And made of aluminum. Really not that heavy.

Subsonic 12 gauge? Learned something new today😂

Is it possible for a over/under 12 guage to attach a suppressor??
My wife has one of those next to her bed too. But she doesn’t keep it attached to the shotgun for some reason.
You know… I would buy one, easily, but there’s the issue of WAITING 9 FUCKING MONTHS. Other than that it seems like a good idea to get one.
I wonder if you could stack two or more of them..
So does it just suppress the sound? Or the sound and The recoil?
Both.
Does both well.
No Remington 870?
Which end goes onto the barrel? I know I’m stupid
I always thought they were going to be 2.5"-3.5" supressors.
If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use is the rule?
It's like supressing a revolver 😂
How?
There is actually one model of revolver (I forgot the name) where the cylinder moves forward as you pull the trigger, creating a seal with the barrel which allows a suppressor to actually work with it.
So, if you use that, is it still a boom stick? 😂
The worst oart is that no manufacturer is producing subsonic ammo so you have to load it yourself. And do youself a favor and make it 10"
I have a Salvo and I can purchase subsonic 12 ga shells. Quite an enjoyable experience. Reduces the recoil quite a bit as well.
