If it comes with a bad soldering job. Or maybe on a ride the wire comes just loose enough to touch the plastic. The power going through the cables with melt it. I also had a wire come loose from the breaker in the bike. Melted the entire breaker
@@electricisbetter I hope I'm having the same issue, I use the bike for a commute so I'm desperate for a solution. My battery will have a full charge but 90% into a ride it turns to 0% so I started charging it to 90% and that worked for a bit then it just got random. either way when it was at 0% it still went on eco mode and I could turn the key off then on and have full power for 20 yards then back down to eco. I have stock battery and surron x if you could give me any links, you'd be a literal life saver!
@@01ambiguous that sounds like your BMS in your battery. I would contact Luna Cycle and give them it's symptoms. Ive had a BMS go bad I'm one of my batteries. It would be at a %70 charge if you used a multimeter to measure it, but the display on the pack said %0. The battery BMS was fried.

I've told people about the stock aluminum power wires. I'm running mine at 15kw cont. and 30kw peak without any heating up anywhere. But I'm using 4awg ofc stranded copper...
What connector are you using with 4awg wire?
