I personally love mining I'm pretty awful at combat since I get stressed out so fast but mining is just calm and rewarding, like I could spend an entire day mining or chopping trees/building house instead of fighting mobs... maybe that's why I like multiplayer more
The old buildcraft quarry in tekkit was my favorite method of auto-mining since it actually took so much time to set up and make all those pipes do what you want. Plus the animation was so satisfying. I really liked that auto-mining. But the digital miner in mekinism feels a bit op and just removes the whole experience I agree.
Could you use an external storage bus from refined storage to connect to the simple crafting network you already have? Then you can still access the bulk storage from refined storage
I agree with what you say about quarries and void ore miners and mystical agri taking away the peacefulness of mining in basically just a block. It makes things trivially easy after just a tiny bit of automation. I believe they’re really the most needed/useful in expert packs, with the heavy gating given to it.

Hey chosen, did you know that if you plug an external storage (from refined storage) to a drawer controller, you have access to every drawer at the same time (I suggest locking them, so they can empty without causing issues)
Hey Chosen, a build I would suggest would be using those copper cables and making an electric fence, for either an energy transporter or electrocuting hostiles. I think they would create an awesome look to your base.
about the whole mining question: yeah i love even just getting an iron pick and walking into a cave, don't take that away from me, but that said at a certain point you don't wanna be travelling 500 chunks to find a single piece of redstone or coal or whatever you haven't dug up yet, so things like "void/dimensional quarries" should be a thing you can afford later in the game to get your (by then) basic resources without hollowing out the planet manually. so i guess at some point instead of mining for all the resources the focus should maybe switch to mining for exploration of fancy underground terrain gen or similar? maybe some rare magic resources you can't farm but only find sloooowly regenerating in the wild (think thaumcraft 5 crystals but without farming them in your base) or idunno
You don't need to change the Configurator modes when dealing with the pipes, since each pipe has its own use already (Items, Fluids, Gases, Energy). Just shift+right clicking is enough.

If you make your enderman farm bigger for them to spawn in you can get more of then. Also to make sure they get 1 shot you can make them fall from a high when they try to kill the endermite. last thing are you in 1.16?

I like mining but i don't like getting blow up by ninja creepers cause in many times of me playing minecraft every now and then even though I put torch on where I mine creepers suddenly drop like ninja and killing me and because I'm always lost when I mine before I get to my items they already despawn cause I keep circling the area of where I die in modded some some modpacks has really rare ores that will take me 30 minutes or more just to find a single vain and sometimes you really need to mine to get the resources you need but the area is so difficult to mine cause of the amount of danger it had but overall I still love to mine even though sometimes I lose all the things I mine
the storage networks too easily automate crafting and I hate that. If you want to automate crafting, you should build a giant factory with assemblers going into furnaces and etc. Not just brainlessly put a pattern into storage. Automating the crafting of something shouldn't be easier than creating one yourself, automation should only be reserved for the things that NEED it.
you should do some more adventuring in dimensions instead of continuous crafting and building you just made 3 episodes of exploring and rest of all is just crafting and building😔😶

Refined Storage has covers not facades but I'm not sure if they're in this version.
refined storage facade is simply the cutting tool and the block you want the cover to be. that is why it has no crafting blueprint

I myself like AE with channels enabled. Thinking of how your network is going to be is more fun to me then just blindly hooking things up.

The crusher from Silent is pretty good for ore doubling too. Pretty cheap to setup. I have it in my Minecolony, with solar power from the Powah mod
