Matt! I have to say I’m so happy you’re back to reviewing cars from Harrison Auto. It’s such a SubaruWRXFan thing to me and I love it. I hope the rest of the subscribers are finding the same!
My family and I went on a trip recently and rented a full-size vehicle. The rental company gave us a 2022 300S. What a fantastic vehicle. My wife and I felt in love with it immediately. Very nice looking vehicle, extremely comfortable for our family of 4 with plenty of power to get us moving, and a lot of cargo room for our luggage. One of the very few true full-size vehicles still on the market. Too bad it’s going away after this year. People don’t want to buy sedans anymore. Everyone wants an SUV.
Before anyone says “they should keep Making these why discontinue it , it’s a mistake “ blah blah, MATT has already told us there will be a new 300! If you don’t watch the weekly updates , YOU SHOULD. I’m constantly able to school people on info because of the weekly updates. I learn SO much. Like so much.
I’m glad you like them! Hopefully there will be a new 300, but there will probably be a gap for a while without one, if it does come it won’t be till 2026 at least.
Love that you went back to Harrison/used car reviews. As someone who subbed to you way back in the WRXfan days it's an awesome throwback. Great video, hopefully there will be plenty more.
Very refreshing seeing your review on older cars! Reminds me of when I first started watching your channel, and saw your 06 evo review in 2013!! Keep up the great work, and hope to see more of the used Gem reviews!!
Thanks Matt for an old school review.. great trip down memory lane for the car too. I like the 300, wish the Chrysler would have put the Hellcat in it for the farewell
Love the recent "hidden gems" uploads! Seems like you get a lot of car for the money with these and the platform has been around long enough to be pretty well sorted out.
Back in 2019, Avis handed me the keys to a 300 to my surprised as I had reserved a compact size. I had a thrill driving this "old school" car for the long weekend. I would like to get my hands on one of these when money and garage space permits. Anyways, keep these used car reviews coming. What a blast from the past, SubaruWRXFan 😉
I have almost the exact same car. Mine just has the panoramic roof and parking censors but everything else is the same. I’ve had it for a year now and I have been loving it for all the driving I do a week. I do wish it had apple car play. It’s a Really good car for the value. 👍🏾
Ey C'mon Matt! love the throwback video! Also love that even though it's a throwback, your review process has come a long way through the years and it shows ❤️ Thank you Harrison Auto Sales too for the timeless cars you helped Matt review for us to see
I miss the reviews of some of the more old/odd ball cars. Love the last two videos classic used cars, and things a lot of folks would have on their to buy list.
Nice Review! I love my 2016 300S which the car you just reviewed. My rear wheel drive seems a little sportier. It has more performance than I need. This appears to be a dying breed and I’m glad I have one.
When I was shopping for "practical" cars in the late 2010s I was really between a 300s and an impala SS. I ended up grabbing a WRX instead and have owned it since. I wouldn't be opposed to getting either today still.
I had a 95 trans am and traded it for my 2019 300c v8. It was a great trade and I love the power and luxury. You should definitely look into a 300. I love these cars
I had a 2020 300S as a rental in June 2022. My biggest gripe with that car was the price considering its age. However, it was a SOLID car overall. I'd probably pick this over something like an Audi A3 or even a base A4.
It’s still a big full sized RWD (can be luxury in C trims) car it has to have a heavy price. The Camry can be had up to almost 40k. The 300 definitely is priced correctly trust me. Most of them are around 45k. That’s 5k more than a loaded 200, or Camry.
Matt, I think you should stick with these types of reviews of gently used cars. It's what bought me to your channel going back to the Audi S5. 👍 American car companies would have done a lot better since the 90s if they were able to get reliability comparable to the Japanese imports. 🙂
I think Chrysler really missed out on the dodge craziness and I’m starting to believe their owner is wanting. Think about they had the same tools and resources as dodge yet the wouldn’t let Chrysler grow I think it was deliberately done to put Chrysler in the grave. So sad when you think of the lustrous heritage of the Chrysler brand whey it stood for and what they brought to the automotive table to be creased in the boom of automotive history. Matt as always thank you for the amazing content over the years 🙏👍🏻. My goal this year is to get my channel to the next level I really want to be in the automotive talks with my favorite automotive content creators that I’ve been watching for a decade. 😎
I was soooo surprised when I got in an AWD Chrysler 300 V8 last week because my friend recently just bought it used from a dealership and it is soooo quick !!! I've driven in a RWD R/T Charger many times before because I had a coworker that would always pick me up and the Chrysler 300 AWD V8 felt way quicker the power was so noticeable between the two we got to get them to race and the Chrysler 300 AWD V8 won off the line !!! Soooo much low end torque on all 4 it aggressively pinned me back to the seat and it won by car lengths and even in a roll race it surprisingly still won by almost 2 car lengths we were able to race a scat packs off the line easily beat it in a roll race the scat pack top end beat the Chrysler 300 AWD V8 but it kept up until 90mph where it started to pass us I was so surprised at the power with the AWD drivetrain it made me want one soooo bad but In a Dodge Charger version
Matt love your videos. You my top 3 for reviews💯I have a question, would you purchase a 15 genesis 5.0 or a 16 300s. Thanks man keep those videos coming😎
Thank you, I'm glad you like the videos! This and the Genesis are both great, but I think the Genesis handles a little better and feels a little more luxurious to me, so I'd go Genesis personally.
@@vincentlee9638 Like Joey said, previous gen did, and FCA offered it beyond 2014 in the Charger Police Interceptor, but also with only the 5 speed auto. I think the only way to get the combo you're looking for is in the Durango and Grand Cherokee.
I've always considered these cars as too big, too cushy, and too old of a design. However, these are older platforms, so you get years of refinement in drivetrain and suspension. Today's car prices are really insane, and if you prefer buttons over screens and don't like driver "aids"interfering with your driving, cars of this generation are looking better and better.
I'll never understand why they let the Chrysler brand die, and let the 300 stagnate so much. Why didn't they take the fight to Cadillac like they used to? They have had the market for the faster version of their cars if they just built a more luxurious version with more power I think they could have snagged some of the market. Hopefully Chrysler survives somehow in the future, unfortunately it's probably only electric.
I bought this exact car he's demoing the day after he made this video, I went from an '08 caddy cts to this, both 3.6 v6/awd, I feel like this is actually nicer...the cts interior trim was plastic too, just faux wood, the 300 driver's seat is roomier and it has a tighter sportier driving feel while still taking those pennsylvania potholes pretty well
I've yet to see, and I have to admit I haven't gone out of my way to search for it, a review of the '22/'23 Chrysler 200. Does anyone other than rental fleets care about that car?
Whoa I had no idea any car had Beats audio in it, that's pretty funny. Did it sound any good? I would totally buy this car for my Aunt, the type of person who is a bit older, doesn't even know what CarPlay is let alone needs it, but just wants to be comfortable at a reasonable price. Also funny that rotary shifter looks basically the same one in our Mach-Es
The Alpine and Harmen Karden Speakers in these cars are way better sounding the Alpine has higher mids and cleaner bass then Beats. And the Harmen Karden speakers are better in every way possible.
**second comment after watching the video** I hadn’t watched it when I commented last time. The 300C 2011-2019 could be had with a optional luxury interior (the white one that you shown) that has a Italian branded®️ leather stitched dash board, door panels and center console as well as open pore real wood. You can also get all that with a black interior. The white was new for 2015. The spot you did your first pull at where that stupid car pulled in front of you at is where you did your acceleration for the dart🥺🥺. I’ve really been watching you since a kid it’s insane time has gone by so fast. Speaking of the dart, fun fact the dart has better soft touch door panels than lower end 300’s. Literally every car they make does. The 300 and charger has that nasty elephant looking textured soft Touch which I agree doesn’t feel good.
@1smae100 yes they are very reliable there not as reliable as a Toyota or Honda but they are still reliable fun to drive and luxurious and sporty too its the best of both worlds and the V6 is great on gas too make sure you get one with AWD its a whole different beast and is even faster
The AWD versions are less compelling but for customers who want a RWD sedan they are great value, big discounts on new 2023 300, $30k OTD with a V6, same OTD price as an average marked-up Civic, ~$40k OTD with a V8. You don't know what you've got until it's gone, next year nothing like this will exist anymore. No affordable 6 cylinder, no affordable full size sedan, no affordable RWD sedan, none of thos things will exist anymore from 2024 onwards. Sad.

The 3.6 is crap. Yep, zero issue's at all just ask any mechanic. Better yet find a high mileage V6, oops you won't. Those cars only make it to about 100k and they're trashed, especially considering their typical owners.
the 3.6 isn’t crap and isn’t near crap. they are very very VERY reliable engines with several (and i mean several) making it over 400K without issues. i think you’re confusing the pentastar with the LFX.
Great review as always. However, it's pretty pathetic that after being in business for 98 years, this is the best that Chrysler can do. I won't be buying one anytime soon. This car is an embarrassment.
embarrassment????? what are you on???? this car is a huge luxury cruiser that is extremely reliable and doesn’t have garbage tech in it that’s unusable as focuses on actual luxury appointments. sorry it doesn’t have hundreds of screens that give you useless information and instead focuses on interior feel, fit, and finish…once again another ignorant comment from a moron that has never been in one. pathetic
@@bigmacdaddy1234 looks are subjective and calling it ugly is a HUGE lie. and it is very reliable. the 3.6 is such a fantastic engine they can withstand 12psi boost on stock engine internals bc everything’s forged, can be pushed to 8K+ on conventional oil if you really needed to with no sludge worries, the list goes on. it’s also remarkably simple to service on the rare occasion that it does break down you can fix it with 30 minutes and a coke. the oil cooler issue is dumb as that part shouldn’t be plastic but dorman makes an aluminum one that will make sure it never has an issue again. not to mention the transmission is simply the best automatic in production to this day. every auto maker uses it and it is the standard for transmission efficiency, reliability and power. nothing from toyota comes near it and they even use it in the supra. the LX platform has been around for nearly 20 years so pretty much every single issue they had early on has been fixed. there is absolutely nothing bad about this car except for the door panels which i admit are a bit shit but when you factor in how reliable it is, the fantastic reliability, the ride quality and how good it performs it’s simple to overlook.
@@TheSavage3.6 Lol...Chrysler and reliable in the same sentence is a joke. If it were so great then sales would be through the roof. Nobody wants it. Not even Chrysler wants to put it out anymore. And yes, it looks like crap.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 you fail to understand the car market at all which is hilarious. ALL full size sedans have died off. The 300 was the *last* to be made, so yes, people did by them becuase they were simply that good. looks are subjective yet again. Chrysler is reliable as this isn’t the mid 90s during the mercedes merger. Times change.

the LX platform has been around for nearly 20 years so pretty much every single issue they had early on has been fixed. there is absolutely nothing bad about this car except for the door panels which i admit are a bit shit but when you factor in how reliable it is, the fantastic reliability, the ride quality and how good it performs it’s simple to overlook.
Is that a Phantom?loll
Where are you seeing a Phantom?
Dying? That breed is dead in America 😂
If only the pentastar V6 wasn't a pile steaming of crap.
What's crappy about it besides hp?
@@TheUltras88 -- Never ending rocker arm problems -- still not fixed to this day. It's not a matter of IF it will happen, but WHEN.
All 5 of my last Mopars have had that engine with no problem whatsoever.
@@bigjoe330 -- that's because you don't own them long enough. If you keep buying new ones it's kinda hard for them to break.
@@TrixAreForRabbits are you psychic? Lol. one had 97k miles. I kept it through 2017.
I just got mine I love it❤️
