The reference I caught during the chase scene was completely different. When Pomni was stretched out. I was reminded of Scrat during the climax of Ice Age, the meltdown.

could be both, but, as someone who has watched raggedy ann and andy: a musical adventure many times, its definitely the greedy. the voices are similar, and both characters are introduced after the main characters get launched off a cliff into a river of candy that is also the character
I KNEW THE TEAPOTS MEANT SOMETHING and now my questions have been answered!!! i was watching that scene and i kept thinking "huh... i wonder why there are only teapots specifically here, what does it mean??" nice to know it further reinforces the world to be created by an outside entity using a 3d modeling software 😅

Yeah, I caught that one immediately and was quite pleased. Tom Scott did a video talking about that teapot and its influence on CGI.

The croc is actually doing jet set radio tricks hinted by the sound effects.
Pizza Tower has an identical sound effect that the croc does, however I don't recall if jet set radio has the same white splash effect that is being used, so I still think it's a pizza tower reference. Also, the use of the taunt in pizza tower is to parry or dodge certain attacks in the game, which croc is doing to avoid the rocks.
It does indeed have the same light splash effect. There's also a vocal Sting if you successfully Parry something with it. @@cmc178

The long arms Pomni might be a Scrat reference from Kevin Temmer, a former BlueSky animator who worked on some scenes with Scrat from Ice Age and also on the particular scene Pomni is holding the trucks.
Like Scrat, Ponmi's body shortens the more her arms stretch, something I've never seen outside of Ice Age.

Also, something nobody seems to be mentioning, the room Pomni and Gummigoo fall into is called a dev room, which are a real thing used in video games to test graphics and models, and they sometimes slip out into production builds of games too (only one I personally know of is in Just Cause 3 or 4)
Also for storing data for actors to be spawned in a map.
Some games simply don't spawn actors in unless somewhere, probably miles away from any playable space, an actor is hidden in that map.
In some games, this is the case with hiding player characters offscreen during cutscenes as well.
This little Out of Bounds Dev Cell could be the center of many core functions. The inanimate actors themselves would be known as dummy models, figures with blank AI that only exists as a base for how they look by default. Even the pose reflects a base for later animations when moving the limbs.
The only references I caught minus this video, was the paper Mario sound effect, and the mad max, everything else, didn’t know about.

The gummy croc doing a bunch of tricks is also a reference to Mario Kart in how you could trick off of bumps in the track
I think Pomni stretching between the cars is a reference to Ice Age 2 when Scrat gets stretched between the two ice bergs breaking apart.
When The Fudge refers to Jax as a "Master of Unlocking" its a direct reference to a line from the original Resident Evil when Barry gives the Lockpick to Jill and says " it would be better if you, the Master of Unlocking, take it with you"
Jax saying that they will be "Augustus glooped" was extremely funny and I only got that on second watchthrough

There is an entire history to the teapot that's pretty cool. Without the teapot we wouldn't have stuff like this.

The arms and legs getting sucked into Pomnis body during the truck scene may not be a reference to but is very similar to scratch from ice age when he was trying to hold two ice bergs together
When Pomni and Gumigoo make it back to the main map, the Helldivers 2 “Reinforce” boom can be heard just before the truck crowns The Fudge in the head. Even the way the truck damages The Fudge is a nod to the way you can damage and kill stuff in the game with your Hellpod.

Another detail about the Utah Teapot. It was the first 3d rendered object using a computation method known as bezier curves. The teapot object was made by a guy at the University of Utah in the mid 1970's, hence the name.
You have no idea how loud I screamed “THE GREEDY IS IN DIGITAL CIRCUS” when I saw it, it’s just a fantastic reference and I love how fluid they kept his animation
