I read Divine Rivals in Jan and really enjoyed it. I also read the Measure and that is definitely a book that will stick with me. The cruel prince is also on my list.
I love Agatha Christie but I haven't read this one yet I'll be excited to try it. I put a few more on my TBR-great recommendations and a great start to the year for you!
I’m currently finishing up The Lunar Chronicles (which I’m enjoying). I just got The Fury from my library and I’m very excited to read that. You’ve made me curious about What The River Knows and I adored the Divine Rivals duology.
I'm so glad I read it before seeing what everyone thought - I can be so easily swayed! Oh that is good to hear about Ruthless Vows, I just picked it up :)
I read What the River Knows bc you talked about it so I was interested in what you thought. As I was getting around 100 pages left till the end, I was thinking I was gonna give it 4⭐️! then I got to the Elvira part and was amending it to like 2⭐️ or 3⭐️, then after the epilogue AND nothing really wrapped up I really thought 2⭐️. Then I too looked up if a sequel was coming so then I bumped it up to 3.5⭐️ bc I do want to read the sequel 😆 Goodness so many emotions in that last 100 pages I guess.
I’m super interested in the Labyrinth’s Heart trilogy…what would you say the spiciness level is? Even as a grown adult I try to avoid books with sex scenes for the same reason I do not watch porn and have been caught by surprise too many times now!
I would say it is very mild - wonderfully mild! I can only remember one fade to black sort of scene and then a couple of scenes implying some activities but no details.
What the River Knows sounds right up my alley! 😊
It is so good, I hope you try it 😊
What the River Knows sounds so interesting! Thank you for the rec!
You are very welcome, I hope you like it!!
Thanks for your review of The Fury. I hated The Silent Patient but this one sounds good! 😂
I really liked The Fury - you can’t take it too seriously but it is a fun ride 😊

The Measure is on my list, it sounds like such an interesting book!

I would love to hear what you think about it after you read it, especially as an Agatha Christie reader!

The Lunar Chronicles books are on my list - glad to hear you like them! You should definitely check out What the River Knows!
Everyone I've seen has hated The Fury, but now I'm intrigued to read it.
Oh and you do get more of the gods in the Divine Rivals sequel

I really enjoyed the Fury as well. I think it is one you can't take too seriously and just be along for the ride.

Aww, I gave up about halfway through.
Yes the Elvira part was shocking ... and the epilogue was out of left field but I am still very interested!
Iam interested in the fury book. What would you say the spiciness level is?
None! It really focuses more on the thriller aspect - I don't even think there is any type of romance plot line!
