I massively use many magnet mounts. Their surface coating is always attached like a stretch-on jacket of galosh. Therefore, with frequent use (on/off/on/off etc.); the biggest issue/problem I have with magnet mounts is that the rubber (or silicon) surface will eventually completely separate/tear off at the seam around the perimeter causing this coated surface "pancake" pad to fall off. I see that this Telesin does NOT attach the surface coating in the traditional method (i.e. like a jacket) and has a narrower diameter than the base. This review could have benefited by discussing this dramatic design difference. I would like to see a part two review that tests this. Show if there is any difficulty with wear & tear, test remove MANY times. Will the base exposed metal edges in this design create a greater risk of scratching car paint when removed? What are the two tabs on the pancake for? Do they allow for removal/replacement of the pad? Thank you for making this product known, I have not seen this design reviewed anywhere else yet.
