UPDATE: Since making this demo, Groove Lab has released Axonic 1.2 which improves the transpose function. Link to the product in the description!

Rad mix!!! Thanks so much for the amazing review, you definitely exploited the amp's best capabilities! (those filthy riffs @ 7:50 dear lord) and thanks for the kind and constructive comments, we'll work harder on innovation on the graphic side since our latest amps had this problem that "they didn't look much like a real amp", so we might have gone too far in "normalizing" by today's standards. We think Neural is in few words a pioneer in sound design, but we don't want to rip them off, we just want to get the GUI out of the way and let the user enjoy the amp. Next release will feature a performance boost! cheers and thank you so much! Love from Argentina! 🤘

I think all companies will have to deal with the Neural comparisons. I really like the signal flow order switching capability. I also like that the amp isn’t a specific “type” or brand and it is its own thing. The low end and fullness is killer, and the updates have been very useful!

Nope the GUI looks like a 100% Ripoff from "MixWave: Spiritbox - Mike Stringer" and IR-X from Groovelab looks like IRDX from Bogren Digital.....

Oooh. Dang you are right. I never looked at the Stringer Plug-in before. Everyone was saying NDSP, but this is a bit more on the nose. I haven’t check out other GrooveLab stuff. 🤔 maybe they should consider moving around some of the feature here. The amps aren’t the same, but the layout definitely is.

I don’t think this type of tone will be everyone’s flavor. It really does seem to cater more toward the “make stuff sound louder” type of gain. I mentioned the band knocked loose since that is what I thought of when I first heard it, and it does have the “produced” sound a bit. I think it sounds better in a mix context then isolated, but I also haven’t tried 3rd party IRs yet. It does have the filth factor, which seems to be on the even more on the upswing in metalcore.
