Is there a reason why you don't want to put the seating unit on the hard surface? It would mean that it would not be sitting on top of wet grass. You could put a colourful outdoor rug underneath it.
Honestly that would make life so much easier 😅 however that part of the garden practically gets zero sun during the day which is so sad! Love the idea of an outdoor rug near the seating!
