    Viraj ayya, please do interviews face to face postures and position the camera for eyes of the speaker. this is just a suggestion. but this will improve the concentration of the viewer more than sitting beside. Thank you for great stuff as always

    I’m surprised to hear that employers can’t fire employees for poor performance and not achieving targets and goals. I work in UK for the last 15+ years and it’s completely the opposite. The companies do goal setting and performance appraisal of employees twice a year and give the ones who are not improving themselves a chance (create a personal development plan and work it through with the line manager). If the employee still fails then the company has the right to let the employee go. It’s legal. Because of that employee has a performance and improvement mindset. Not only that, part of the company bonuses given to employees on the basis of their performance at work.
    The reason companies hire contractors is to get a specific job done for a specific duration but the cost for the company is really high. It could be 2 or 3 times of the pay of a permanent employee.

    The culture of working late is not a good thing. First of all it indicates either the employees is given more than what he/she can handle (issue with workload) or the employee is not performing as expected. SL companies should change this culture to make more productive employees and avoid burnout. I work in UK god the last 15+ years. Here the management expect employees to leave on time but achieve targets. Work smarter but not harder.
