30 + Years detecting around Herefordshire and buttons and blank coins are pretty much as good as it gets!! The soil is extremely acidic so hard to find copper or Bronze in good nick!. The soil is also very deep around so good finds are normally extremely deep.
Still unidentified mate, but I'm thinking this is very similar and at least gives it some age 👍. commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bronze_Age_to_Iron_Age_unidentified,_%27moustache-shaped%27_object_(incomplete)_(FindID_658413).jpg?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3jdL4iDXBPsIsrs6BytFpx0CKNckYOUHjhR7D8Q5ghXZeAyQTY2x2mA10_aem_Ad--gWQbFrBu4q-J60Vp_iheoBa0rba3GnrbFx9IZCavBOLFlRYjSzspPgkyAyyMmc71xu9OQD4e-OaIMp3SwfB_
I would say your best options would either be to go for the Nokta simplex range dragondetecting.com/collections/nokta-metal-detectors/products/nokta-simplex-bt-with-headphones-free-starter-pack Or go for one of the minelab range, anything from the xterra Pro at £329, or the vanquish 440 at £329 with a free Pro find 20 pinpointer. If you can stretch a little further to £459, I would go for the equinox 600. dragondetecting.com/collections/minelab-metal-detectors?sort_by=price-ascending If you are uk based it is well worth giving Jordan a call at Dragon Detecting on 01792 687321 and going over your options. Also if you do make a purchase with him, don't forget to mention Digger Dan for some freebies with your order 😊👍
How great to get a permission whilst on your holibobs! Nice one 😀 Hope you do go back when you have more time, who knows what's out there. Wales is full of history - i'm part Welsh so spent most summers and holidays visiting places. Wonder what the lead '15' is?! Interesting!!
Thanks for a nice video. I always love it when I get a permission from someone I meet out in public!
Welcome to our world Dan! A days dig is often described as a day out! Every cloud.....

Shepherd's whistle probably?
Maybe a dog whistle to signal a herding dog for sheep?
Nice chem trails in the sky.....sorry that I notist it
First thing I noticed!!
Bronze age moustache dagger chape 👍
Thank you for that information mate 😊👌
It's going to be all the fertilizer in the fields eating up the finds. Your best bet probably was the hedgerows and the creek.
On holiday near Fakenham if you fancy taking me detecting 😊
Did you find out what the bronze item was Dan?
Still unidentified mate, but I'm thinking this is very similar and at least gives it some age 👍.
