Your echinod is Late Cretaceous in age (~60 mya). It comes from the Late Cretaceous chalk group underlying this area. Chalk is a fine grained limestone. It was deposited there in a warm, shallow tropical sea that covered this section of England. The chert and flint that you find all over the ground is also from this limestone formation. Nice catch.
Hey Dan! Awesome video, Matey, as always! Congrats on finding the little silver Charles 2nd cufflink, and on the little hammy! It looks like Manticore is being a beast for you! Keep the videos coming, I can't wait for next Monday 😂👍😊
Nice clip , see you still got the M9 on . Your right it seems to pick more Iron up . I’ve not solved it yet , running at 24 zero gb .. I’m thinking it’s goes as deep as the 11 if not deeper , All the best Andy. Ps my m9 has banged out a proper artifact 😂
If I would go metaldetecting on a field under crops, the farmer would shoot me. We don't do that here in the netherlands. It is one of the roules we have here...😃👍
How is it you don't say thank u for your feedback in words to your subs in stead of just putting a as the same marks, taking time to get back to ur subs making a big difference 🤔
Nice finds. Thanks for sharing!!!

@@DiggerDanMetalDetecting I think they went as good as they could have gone. Hopefully 😂
@@GRIFFINds I'm sure they did mate, you've smashed it 💪👌
Wow DD, what a stunning dig!! I believe the fossil is often called a ''Heart Urchin''. All the best M8, John.
Great day,do well!
Digger Dan for England number 9 with you’re luck it’s definitely coming home

I believe John (the Scottish Detectorist found a similar cufflink.
You are right. 😄😄
RE' the heart urchin fossil: some places in the world would drill a hole through them & use them as spindle whorls.
Now that would be a very cool find 😎
Maybe the detail of the toasty romans will become more apparent once you've waxed it 🤞
your lucky dan most land owners wont allow people to detect when seeded mine wont :(
Sea urchin. In Denmark they are supposed to protect your house against lightening strikes
Is the silver link post-medieval?
Yes, I believe I said Medieval in the video, but actually being dated between 1650 and 1714, would make it post medieval 😊👍
200 years now Mr Moss 👨🏼🦯
What's that mate? 😊
Enjoyed the video and curious as to what shovel you are using ?
Thank you mate, my spade is the new "Motley Spade". Not sure if they are available in the US or not. 😊👍
If I would go metaldetecting on a field under crops, the farmer would shoot me. We don't do that here in the netherlands. It is one of the roules we have here...😃👍
There is plenty of room to detect without damaging the crop, so long as you use a small coil.
I do have permission, so no-one will be shooting at me lol 😆
That's maze, and there's plenty of room as long as you're careful 'and I am sure the famer would say if he preferred you did go on there 👍
SEA URCHIN
What is the song and who sings it at the very beginning of the video?
It's called feel like that and it by Nordgroove 👍😊
@@DiggerDanMetalDetecting Thank You!!!
