Thought exactly the same. The days when the process of selecting , taking the vinyl from its sleeve, checking the album cover notes, recognising the sequence of the tracks, watching the stylus run to the end groove, reading the esoteric message on some at the middle of the record, blowing the dust off and wiping the record with a lint free cloth, delicately placing the record back in its sleeve ..... and weeping at my sister just leaving her Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry LPs sprawled out on the carpet. I just don’t get the same pleasurable experience listening to music these days. It is so instant and throw away. Or I am old.
