Would love to see more superhero films that are character studies. Sometimes it's hard to get emotionally invested on some characters in superhero films because they are pretty much invincible.

I've been saying this since the movie came out. It's nice to see another video person talk about the importance of showing consequential violence for thematic effect. It's the same reason why I hope to see more mainstream comic book character push towards an R rating as the years progress.

I could have sworn Logan was only MA15+. I do like these videos though. Im surprised that you have so little subs and views. You deserve way more for the amount of effort you put into this. Keep up the good work mate!

NETWORKILL it is MA15, but for them in America it’s rated R. It’s a different rating

Very good videos in this channel. It's difficult to find videos like this one where the story is analized from the ethics point of view. I studied cinema in a film school and I realized that no teacher talked ever about the ethics structures of films. Let me explain a little detail related to ethics in films that I realized some years ago and that I think it would be interesting to make a video about. There is in movies this so called "midpoint". I realized that in almost every film betwin minute 45 and 1:00 there is a major event where the bad decisions of the main character have consequence and affects an inocent. This major event normally defines the ethics of the film, because it shows how the character, betwin the begining of second act until the midpoint, chose a bad path with consequences. Let me put you some easy examples:
    SPIDERMAN 1
BAD PATH IN SECOND ACT: Spiderman has great powers afetr get bitten by a radioactive Spider. He take bad path deciding to use this powers in order to earn some money in public fights and buy a car to impress Mary Jane. When he doesn’t get the money by the man who organize the fights, he let scape a criminal.
MIDPOINT MAJOR EVENT (around minut 50) this criminal kills Uncle Ben (INNOCENT) due to Peter bad decisions.
MORAL: “With great powers comes great responsibility”. And if you don't take responsability facing crime those who you love can get killed
    JURASSIK PARK
BAD PATH IN SECOND ACT: Second act begins when they arrive to Jurassic Park. In a dinner eating, they discuss if nature can be controlled. But they take a bad path and they decide to go into a tour into the park. MIDPOINT: climax scene where Rex get unleashed and two kids (INNOCENTS) almost get killed due to main characters bad decisions
MORAL: “Nature finds his way”. You can not try to control Nature, not dinosaurs, because it can eat you :)
    THE APARTMENT (1960)
C.C. Baxter rent his apartment to office colleges because they need a place to get laid with ladies. He knows that this men are bad persons who utilizes women, but he doesn’t care.
MIDPOINT: he realizes that Miss Kubelik, the woman that he loves, has been going to his apartment and he finds her in his own bedroom, heartbroken and near dying after a suicide attempt
MORAL: “be a “mench”-be a descent human being”. And don’t help people who get profit of others because they could hurt the people you love
I could tell you hundreds of midpoints where an innocent get hurt due to bad decisions of the main character at the midpoint of the story. In “Jaws” a kid get eaten because the main protagonista hasn’t closed the beach, in “Drive” the husband of the Irene get killed during a robbery, letting Irene (the innocent) widow, in "The revenant" the son of the protagonist get killed, etc. This is always a main event that changes all the story and force the main character to change
It seams that when you want to find to moral of the story or even when you want to write a story as a screenwriter you should get attention to this major event in the middle of a film and ask for the bad decisions of the protagonist. In LOGAN this MIDPOINT event is the scene in the farm, where all this family and Xavier get killed. The bad path of Logan is obvious: he is running away carrying dead and not facing responsibility. He tries to rest in a quiet farm with nice people, and he takes shelter where innocent people can get hurt, hiding his nature to this people. But, as you say "THER IS NO LIVING WITH A KILLING". There is no place where Logan can scape. So innocents get hurt
This midpoint sturcture is not a great discovery for my own, but I haven't found any video or screenplay manual that talks about it. As I see you read a lot of theory, I would kindly ask you if you know where could I read further of this kind of moral structure in stories and movies.
Also, it would be interesting if someone like you did a video about this Moral structure elements in film and why certain elements are so repeated as a core element of stories. I can not do it my self, my english sucks and I think people like you know a lot more than me in this kind of things.
Great channel, keep doing this kind of videos :) Sure you will get a lot of subscribers with such a quality in your work!

Arena Pons Woah! I have to applaud you on making your own analysis! This is perhaps one of the most thoughtful and engaging discussion thoughts I have ever seen on my channel ^^. Thank you for making every moment of making videos worth it if it means having great conversations and ideas!
Your ideas about how ethics and character decisions in the midpoint is definitely one fascinating way to look at it and you're not wrong about looking at it from an ethical and consequential standpoint. The examples you have provided is definitely telling of that and in fact, I love thinking about these things whenever I watch a movie! To me, it's part of the fun. I can think of many films that depict character consequences at the midpoint.
The consequences can have a profound effect on a character to completely change them. There are several ways to think about midpoints too. For character arcs, it can be character wants vs character needs and this can lead to a moral that a character learns. Or...even a character having a strategy in the first half and by the midpoint, they're forced to employ a different strategy to accomplish a goal they may or may not realize. In this case of Logan, like you mentioned, the screenwriter makes of Logan pay heavily for his initial motivations and at this point, the direction of the film has changed.
I would love to study story and character structure in future videos! I find this topic to be irresistible! One book that I recommend is "Save the Cat" by Blake Snyder if you want to learn a bit more about screenwriting. However, watching and reading interviews from amazing screenwriters can also give you a sense of what they're trying to accomplish and ideas relative to moral structure.
