Size means little comes, down to training, technology, courage and how battle hardened the countries forces are. Australia and our Diggers have always punched way above it's weight just ask Rommel Germans, the 2000 Japanese elite troops held at bay by 500 Aussie reservists in Papua and the Turkish defeated by the last Cavalry charge by our light Horseman and the Italians who we crushed in Africa and the Indonesian murderous Militia who were squashed by our forces in Timor and Papua and the list goes on. Never underestimate us that is why the Americans love having us as their closest Allie and we are becoming more lethal thanks to the Chinese and their bullying.

What is happening in Ukraine taught the world many things: the most important is that ON PAPER strong army isn't necessarily effective and having very good looking military parades doesn't means you're gonna win on real battlefields. So putting in the top 10 Brazil, that haven't heavy anti-aircraft, no advanced fighters, no air-carriers. that spends little money for military (almost all budget is for salaries) just because have a large number of soldiers makes no sense. You missed Italy that builds its own F35 and Eurofighters, have 3 carriers and spends a lot of money to develop systems (that sells around the world).

Russia should be ranked closer to Ukraine and not right next to the US. Probably all nations using Russian weapon systems or copies of their systems should be reduced in their military rankings and out of the top 10.
The expert among you, to put it mildly, is bad, because you want to exclude Russia from this list and include it on a par with Ukraine, probably because of this your state is afraid of Russia like fire and it is a fact that NATO blocs are moving to our territories for a reason and you continue to think that America - great power, ha-ha-ha
Bro thinks he is a military expert after reading one CNN article 💀 - Russia remains 2nd or maybe 3rd because the Chinese and Indian army is overrated with many problems lying in them. India is only great at conducting small-scale operations while Chinese tech and equipment is the biggest rip-off of the Russian army or a copy-paste (granted some parts are much better). After this war, the Russian military will have an insane amount of combat experience adding to its strengths. also, air and naval losses were low for the Russian military - making them a powerhouse in those sections with a lot of good techs (some bad as well and overrated like the Orlan drones). granted ground losses were high and the military logistics were terrible but that is called getting combat experience. Most of the destroyed tanks and armored vehicles were from a soviet era in which Russia has thousands if not tens of thousands of reserves (also granted that some will never be refit for actual combat). Currently, the destroyed modernized equipment has been low but of course still too much for sustenance. missiles and future tech is the biggest issue - Russia had many next-generation pieces of equipment planned that would actually make it rival the US - but it simply does not have such an economy to build that kind of army (T-14s, T-15s, Kur-25s, Su-57s, etc). Literally, 99% of Europe relies on daddy USA to save them in times of need and have zero power with a pathetic amount of equipment and zero combat experience except for some small operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Russian military equipment capabilities are typically exaggerated by the Russians. This is not my opinion but the opinion of Janes defense. Russian military hardware started lagged behind western hardware in the 80’s. You are correct about the US having extensive combat experience. And NATO members get the opportunity to train with (and against) the US in war games to improve their craft. What experienced military does the Russians get to train with? Ukraine’s MIG29s are not that much different from the MIG29s used against NATO in the Bosnian war. NATO had no problem establishing a no fly zone over Bosnia. Russia cannot manage that over 20 years later against the same era MIG29s in Ukraine. If you believe the Russian navy is capable you are not familiar with Russian naval history. Russia has a severe problem of corruption in its military ranks. Western countries are unlikely to have ERA on tanks made of rubber and body armor made of card board. I do agree with you that China and Indian should be ranked under Russias.

In addition - simply training does not give an army combat experience- Russia fought against the chechens, Georgians and now the Ukrainians with several thousands participating in Syria. All of these were absolutely brutal experiences that will give the Russians an edge in combat. As for your argument on Europeans, they do not have the sufficient numbers to outmatch the Russians even with their technological advantages. Most European countries have the smallest army sizes - 50-100,000. Another factor is that if Russia begins a Union State (read on it) between the former Soviet states (I’m not saying it will happen just a hypothetical situation) then they would have a massive boost in military budgets and would have the capability to produce those aforementioned elite western rivaling weapons (Kur-25s,T-14s,T-15s or basically the whole Armata universal platform) . Like I said - even though Russia is weak and corrupt, it still should be ranked right underneath USA in second spot because basically all other countries are not better than them. Also Ukraine is literally nothing anymore - they are forced to use pick up trucks and are completely reliant on Western aid to keep fighting. Also while Russia can make up for these losses in maybe 5-10 years. Ukraine is not going to be capable to produce new arms for decades - the whole nation has been destroyed from the industry to the military equipment (yes ukraine suffered massive losses too). That’s why it was so stupid to say that “Russia should be ranked near ukraine”. I tend to agree some what. Tech wise do the Russians have a tier 1 defense industry? Maybe, I am sure they are advanced enough against most adversaries. (Falkland war is an example of equipment that was good enough in the hands of a well trained military) If the Russians had secure communications and leadership they would definitely deserve to be ranked 2nd. Unfortunately Russia does not appears to have those qualities and appears to be relying on overwhelming numbers to win. This strategy no longer works in modern warfare. The SU57 should do well when it enters service against nearly fighter on the planet, but I have seen little evidence that it is being used or is even combat ready. I cannot comment on the Su-35 since its capabilities are not widely known outside of the countries that have them. Is the SU35 better than the Eurofighter and Dassault Rafale? I have no idea. Is it likely? Maybe, but If history has shown us anything with Russia they tend to exaggerate their capabilities. Air superiority is critical for ground operations in this era and Russia appears to be struggling to establishing a no fly zone Ukraine. Due to this I have doubts that Russia would somehow fair better against a well trained trained modern European military. I could be wrong and Russian designed weapon systems might be world class, but with the overwhelming corruption in their military I am afraid it is more likely corners will be cut and the equipment Russian soldiers receive will be subpar. I do not find this corruption exclusive to Russia however I find it likely this is problem with other countries on the top ten list list like China, India, Pakistan and Brazil. Liaoning is Varyag. Varyag was to be an Admiral Kuznetsov class multi-role aircraft carrier in the Soviet Navy. She was known as Riga when her keel was laid in Mykolaiv, Ukraine on December 6, 1985.
Construction stopped by 1992 with the ship structurally complete but without electronics. Ownership was transferred to Ukraine as the Soviet Union broke up and the ship was laid up unmaintained, and then eventually stripped.

The bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki are nothing compared to the size and destructive power of the Sarmat missile, which is approximately two thousand times greater than the shells used to carry out the bombings mentioned. Bro thinks he is a military expert after reading one CNN article 💀 - Russia remains 2nd or maybe 3rd because the Chinese and Indian army is overrated with many problems lying in them. India is only great at conducting small-scale operations while Chinese tech and equipment is the biggest rip-off of the Russian army or a copy-paste (granted some parts are much better). After this war, the Russian military will have an insane amount of combat experience adding to its strengths. also, air and naval losses were low for the Russian military - making them a powerhouse in those sections with a lot of good techs (some bad as well and overrated like the Orlan drones). granted ground losses were high and the military logistics were terrible but that is called getting combat experience. Most of the destroyed tanks and armored vehicles were from a soviet era in which Russia has thousands if not tens of thousands of reserves (also granted that some will never be refit for actual combat). Currently, the destroyed modernized equipment has been low but of course still too much for sustenance. missiles and future tech is the biggest issue - Russia had many next-generation pieces of equipment planned that would actually make it rival the US - but it simply does not have such an economy to build that kind of army (T-14s, T-15s, Kur-25s, Su-57s, etc). Literally, 99% of Europe relies on daddy USA to save them in times of need and have zero power with a pathetic amount of equipment and zero combat experience except for some small operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. In other words - Im not saying Russia has the best or even a good military - it's just that nowadays literally no one except the US has an almost fully capable and modern army.

The most important thing in war is supply. Russia has failed even this basic thing. There is also no justification. Soldiers go to war without even knowing why they're fighting. They don't have basic military training. Russia fights, the more disadvantageous it becomes.

A: UK(Finest soldiers, well trained, naval power projection), France, Israel(Lacks Navy and size, but Israeli technology is on a different level because of innovation. Arguably the best fighter pilots in the world, The Israeli Air Force has a historical kill ratio of over 19:1. The Israeli Air Force has shot down almost 600 enemy planes (including 5 Soviet MiGs in one 3-minute dogfight with zero losses. Israel ran war games about 20 years ago with an American carrier and just plain wrecked the US Navy. Out of 240 dogfights, the Israeli F-16s downed 220 F-18s, and lost only 20 - for an 11:1 kill ratio. Israel could possibly beat the UK or France in ground and aerial war if hypothetically they were beside one another but will very likely lose in naval battles. UK and France have power projection, they have the capability to wage war far and beyond their region while Israel is only regional.)
