I thought downsmash was really good against Sheik since she struggles with beating CC. It’s one of the main reasons I’m struggling in this matchup currently. I’m just constantly afraid of taking 50% out of nowhere.
I'm no Armada but damage from sheik in this match up tends to be from grabs.
Crouch Cancel makes sheiks grab more or do the jump/triangle jump spaced short hop fairs to avoid cc punishes from peach. BUT if you do that and go to the air you eat ftilts and such.
Try crouching whilst expecting them to grab and try to counter the grab with either jabs? Or insta fc Nair.
Wd b dtilt helps for the fairs or if sheik jumps you can get under sheik with uairs or dash attack.
It's like a big rock paper scissors game in this match ups neutral.
Cc beats tilts, but leads to sheik grabbing more or spacing fairs.
Float approach beats grab but loses to spaced ftilt and fair.
Turnip is good in this match but must be done at full screen or so they can't punish you. Sheik doesn't like peach with a turnip like every other character in the game.

Oh and don't dsmash on shield after FC's or dash attack unless it's a good punish or sheik is just jumping around. Armada's guide helped me a lot in this match up

Triangle jump is when sheik does a short hop but Aerial drifts backwards while still coming down with fair.
It seems to beat peach's dsmash/dtilt cc punish. So I just GTFO if they set that up but cc dashattack may work since sheik is jumping? I'd have to test that

I feel like an offensive comment would be worthwhile at moments like 3:05 when he should have gotten a free punish off the airdodge but instead went for the dash-attack read on the drift. If you see a spotdodge like that I'd probably say (and I'm no armada) either dashdance to watch the drift to put the dash attack in the right place, or just float under and react. I don't know what the optimal punish might be but I might try like a uair into grab since she was at low %. Or, more likely since I am lazy and bad, I would probably just nair dsmash.
You are totally right. I was expecting Sheik to fall like a fastfaller so I was trying to punish her like she was one (Nut in grand finals was the first floaty I played against at that tournament) I think upair, dash attack, and dtilt would all lead to combos I just need to exercise a little more patience.
might be hard to land dtilt in that situation unless you're some sort of never before seen pivot god
why would i need to pivot? Sheik was in front of Peach and in special fall animation
Oh, you wouldn't there, that would have been fine. In my mind I was picturing someone dashdancing to watch drift and doing a pivot dtilt out of it like a demon.
