I'm sorry but...that first play! The quarterback could've ordered a pizza, waited for it to be delivered, eaten half of it, but the rest in the fridge, re-heated some of it later for a snack, and STILL had time to throw that pass.

Throughly THOROUGHLY impressed, shocked, surprised, and bewildered with Clifford’s performance
I felt he could improve. People forget his 2019 season. With proper coaching and a full off-season, this doesn't surprise me too much.
He has a devil of a receiver in Dotson "5" and PSU is built on tight ends currently so his core is getting better to throw to as well
I never doubted Clifford now watch him reach his potential with the new O

Let's remember that Bo Nix was a 5 star, number 1 rated dual threat QB when he came out in 2019. Bigsby was a 4 star, number 4 RB in 2020. Auburn recruits about as well as PSU. So it was an excellent win in which Clifford more than held his own.
I love college football. It’s exciting. Almost every game has something that gets you on the edge of your seat. And then there are the traditions of some of the schools. I always enjoy watching Penn State’s White Out game. That crowd is nuts!
Atmosphere is worthy of primetime!
As a former truck driver it was one of my favorite place to drive by during game day.
Just as long as EVERYONE keeps a sharp eye on their kids every moment they are on PSU’s campus, I 100% agree.
The White Out has been known to send opposing teams into complete bedlam.

One of the few "nail-biter" games I watched this weekend - but Penn State hung on !! College football is so much more fun to watch than the NFL...I can't really pin-point why... I just know I have a LOT more fun watching NCAA than NFL...it is what it is.
College football is unpredictable and a victory isn’t promised. There’s upsets every week and the game is much faster…..We know the Cleveland Browns are gonna beat the Texans, but won’t expect Arkansas to beat Georgia? It’s always a mystery lol. College football is better!

The PSU white-out is one of the best and most electric events you can get in North American sports, no cap! The audience together is so bone-chilling!

Like Beaver Stadium, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is known for being really loud, having a great student section, and having a big home field advantage. But Ben Hill Griffin Stadium was originally built inside a sinkhole, which more efficiently “traps” the sound coming from the fans. Really cool, right :)
I'm an Auburn fan, and I would've rather seen BIG10 refs out there. I hate the sec refs they're the dumbest they alll need to be Fired!
Ha! Ha! They were NOT cheating but they did have a couple pretty bad moments. Overall, they kept their flags in their pockets and let the boys play...only 9 total penalties.
Be careful what you wish for. PSU will be at Auburn next year and if John O'Neill and his band of idiots officiate the game? Well ... buckle up. On a serious note, I do want full time national officials for the P5.

Best game of the college season thus far. However, the officiating was pretty poor. Depending on the feasibility, for non-conference games involving one or two ranked opponents, they might consider using referees from a neutral conference as is the case in bowl games.
And both intentional groundings! And the “failed” 4th down
Just the 3rd down? Why did they call grounding on that play? Why didn't they call grounding on Auburn. Many times they spotted the ball conservatively for PSU to say the least and then that 4th down that was made by at least 1.5 yards they called it short. That is just the blatant ones, go back and watch some of Auburn's runs on the edge and tell me how many holding calls do you see. It was horrid crew.
@@stevejohnson2108 those were bad, but you werent the only ones. one of our best, if not the best, defensive players got ejected for a blatant shoulder hit, as well as other problems. the refs just sucked overall

@@cohen1539 I concede that was a close call. But i think the original camera angle in which the Auburn player was in the foreground showed helmet to helmet contact. The camera angle from the other side in which the Auburn player was in the background suggested there was shoulder contact. In general, crappy refereeing for the night I feel.

This was a great close game honestly. Auburn didnt get blown out and made the game very close despite the Whiteout. Those refs were very suspect though.
The dropped pick six is the only reason this was close. Real score was really 35-20.

@@Ryan-dj3db exactly, also what if the ref’s didn’t make Penn state punt on 3rd down, what if they didn’t make the most suspect intentional grounding call right before that, and what if they didn’t take away Penn State’s 1st down on 4th and 1 with the absolute worst spot of the ball I have ever seen even after they showed replay of them not blowing the whistle until after the play. I mean the SEC ref’s literally had to come out after the game and apologize for their terrible officiating the next day.

this was a great old school football game. both teams wil benefit from playing. the officiating crew was atrocious on both sides, just not acceptable.

Great game and great win for Penn State. Give a ton of credit to Auburn for venturing out and playing a B10 powerhouse in their own backyard. That speaks volumes and we all want to see more of these matchups.
Auburn play calling was horrible and they waited until they got down by 2 touchdowns to actually call the plays they were suppose to.Nix should've never been put in those situations.Auburn went away from the run and by the time they got down by 2 touchdowns it was too late.Penn State is a great team and they wanted it more but as an Auburn fan I think we should've stuck with the run more instead of Nix throwing the ball on every down at times.Great play calling by Penn State they were definitely the better team!!

1. Phantom intentional grounding on psu
2. Ignoring an obvious one for Auburn
3. Phantom late hit on final drive on psu.
4. NOT KNOWING HOW TO COUNT DOWNS
5. whistling a 4th down play dead while the pile was moving.
6. Ignoring obvious taunting by Auburn.
I'm sure I'm missing at least one more. They did everything they could to protect their own conferences team.

Nah, it was creative, but those short yardage third down calls and fourth and 1 call was too gimmicky...spread the field, get the LB's to guess at a minimum - that or power into the line off of your OT and TE...there were better plays that could've been called... it's Auburn not Coastal Carolina.
Auburn is 0-3 vs Big Ten teams the last couple of years.

That’s because Alabama blew us out, and we knew we had no chance. It’s been this kind of environment since the first whiteout in 2004. I was at the second one in 2005 against OSU as well. It was scary loud. Not as loud as the OSU whiteout in 2017, but pretty close.

@@derricklanders1921 Bro. They lined up to go for 1yd and got stonewalled on 5 different occasions. Couldn’t get out of their own end zone and almost got safetied then AU shot themselves in the foot. Play calling and coaching won Penn St. the game. AU continued to only rush 3 linemen and gave their QB all day to throw and when they tried to blitz they kept confusing their coverages. AU won at line of scrimmage on both sides and RB’s were more dynamic.
Respect to Auburn fans for showing up like they did. There was a lot of orange in the crowd tonight. I don't think I've ever seen an opposing fanbase show up in Beaver Stadium like Auburn did tonight
I would have been at that game tonight but my Dad sold the tickets for like $800. I was watching it at home with my daughter and she said look at all the orange in a whiteout lol.

BARN scores 60 on 127th ranked Akron. The Barn scored 62 on Ala State who isn't ranked in the FBS. The AU Barnes plays Penn State and loses. Scored a whopping 20 points vs a top 15 team. How sad. But yet many said auBARN is back. Back from what? If they are so damn good why did they lose? Who does the BARN think they are Alabama?

Great game! To me the main difference was PS had the homefield advantage. Had the game been played at Auburn the result may have been just reversed. Both teams played well!!

Great game, worst officiating so far this year. PSU's home field advantage was probably a wash with the officials being in the tank for Auburn. I don't blame Auburn for it, though, they played a great game. But those officials should be fired. Controversial calls are bad enough, but I don't ever remember seeing a B1G crew kill a drive by literally stealing a down from the team on offense (they turned the down marker from 1st to 3rd and then refused to correct the mistake when Franklin brought it to their attention).
That horrible “fumble” (dropped ball) at the beginning of the second half was the biggest game changer.

What an awesome home and home series for both teams. When you look at this game it prepares both teams for the daunting in conference schedules, you play these games to find out who are the pretenders and who are the contenders. I would love to see more regularly scheduled OCC games between the Big 10 and SEC instead of just bowl games at the end of the season. If Auburn runs the table the Penn State loss will not hurt them at all, just like this win over Auburn could cement a one loss PSU team into the College Football Playoffs, so games like this only help these teams in the long game, instead of playing teams like Mercer.
With actual refs......45-14 PSU still wins.....fairly tho.

Nice win, but good teams are moving the ball too easily against PSU. Most turnovers are more luck than skill and they have a way of disappearing when you need them most. D needs to get better or PSU will once again be battling to crack the bottom of the Top 10.
They are obviously a "bend don't break"type of defense. In other words, they don't care about the yards they give up in the middle of the field, as long as they don't give a team anything in the Red Zone, that's all they care about.
