Never saw a video like that...very interesting & insightful. I'm 59 yrs old, been fishing for 50 yrs & got my 1st baitcaster last year. I'm getting good with it but initially, I was a trainwreck. Holding the rod in that fashion also better balances the rod
It’s never too late to try new things! Once you get good and really comfortable with the baitcaster, you will LOVE it. I grew up with spinning rods and it took me a while to break the habit of snapping the rod forward when casting, but the more I practiced, the easier it got and now it’s second nature!
