I'm still perplexed about the emboss/deboss tools for the 5. I don't see them sold everywhere. They say use a specific mat, but I can't find that. I really hoped that would be updated or pushed more. Don't see tutorials either. I wanted to buy one for so long but have been holding out. So odd to me.

I am frustrated and excited by the Mark 2. I started looking at the Pro years ago and opted against it because I don't like buying any white machines because they start looking bad after a couple of years. I kept asking if there would ever be a black pro. Last year I finally broke down and bought the Pro because my products were heading in a different direction to where I needed the 24". Right after I got it my plans got delayed so I have barely used it. And now there is a black one coming out. That I will have to buy. It's beautiful. Also, the times I have used my pro I have not had the issues that others have reported so I have to see the Pro and Mark 2 perform side by side.
When the Camep 5 series came out, they said it would be a while for another pro because it was still so new, so I didn't expect it to be released. I've never had the space for one, but the stand is a game changer for me. I'm super excited! A good thing to remember is that they always release new items at the summit in September. It might give a better idea as to whether you can golf off that long or not. Technology changes so fast is almost impossible to keep up.
I have a cameo 4 silhouette , for print & cut on a 8.5x11inch sheet is there a new machine to be able to print & cut bigger ? Or is registration marks the same for all? Hopefully that makes sense 🙈
You can print and cut larger with the Cameo 4. You just need a large format printer. The registration marks will adjust to the media size set for your project.
How does new software work when you already own "Business Edition'? Is it an update? A whole new purchase? Having a Mac I won't get it but some might be wondering.
There will be an update to the software in addition to the online software. I don't use Apple, so these questions are always hard for me to answer, but as others start using it, I'll be able to gather information.

I love my Cameo 4 , honestly I, said sent I can't get my Pix scan to work and I mean everything I'm jus t going to wait to see how other people experience go ! Before I buy.
It's interesting to see that they haven't gone with the same design as the Cameo 5 for the new pro model. I also hope that they roll out the new products globally a lot quicker... I got the ES mat from Swing Design, at the end of February 2023, via their eBay store and after shipping and import it cost me about £110. But I had a notification set for a UK supplier too, and they only got the ES mat in the last few days! Completely off topic, but anyone having issues with cuts being the wrong size? It's most noticeable with the ES mat, but happens with the standard mat too... if I cut e.g. a 150mm square it comes out 150mm wide, but 147mm tall? I think it was since the latest firmware update for the Cameo 5, but can't be certain. All I do know is Design Studio refused to send my project until I installed the latest firmware... so I didn't have a choice! 😢 My rollers are correctly aligned and the mats definitely aren't slipping while cutting.
Global supply is painfully slow! 😭I think they kept the majority of the old design because that model was still relatively new. The Pro came out quite a bit later than the Cameo 4 12in. That's just a guess, though. I haven't noticed any of my cuts being off, but that doesn't mean it's not a thing. Probably a silly question, but does the machine have enough clearance in the back for the mat to go through? Sometimes these issues will occur if the mat is bumping something in the back.
@@silhouettesuccess Hi Brenda, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Yes, there's nothing obstructing it at the back. I've sent an email to Silhouette, to see if they can help. It's less than a year old, so still under warrenty fortunately. Thinking back, it might have been an issue before the firmware update, as I remember cutting a circular design from HTV and that came out as a slightly elliptical. I just assumed it had shrunk very slightly in one direction when I pressed it.
A lot of people are having the same thoughts. Unfortunately, it's 2 separate issues, 2 different departments. So both are being worked on at the same time. It would come across better with more communication about the status of the migration. Have you downloaded the latest version? It is supposed to fix all of the library issues.

I don’t understand why the E-mat can’t be used with the silhouette 4?
The Cameo 4 wasn't made with the slots needed to plug it into the machine.
Question...what about the migration?
Is that completed and can we now SYNC OUR LIBRARIES. BEEN waiting since May 22?

Keep practicing with the Pix Scan mat. Sometimes it just take a few sessions to get it going, but once you get it - you will have so much fun.
